Maths is a highly useful skill in all areas of life as well as most fields of industry. Maths has been a passion of mine since my school days where I managed to achieve an A at A-level in one year. My focus was mechanics and calculus but my teaching skills extend to all levels of from A-level below. My focus on teaching is to try and bring maths alive with the more fascinating ways in which different areas of maths can conjoin and impact the real world. Why are beehives hexagonal shaped for example? Why do spider webs mimic certain road maps?

I've been a chess tutor as well as a maths tutor for some years and enjoy the process of teaching, having taught students as young as 5 all the way up to adults. Feel free to contact me whatever level you're at whether studying for an exam, or just curious to enhance your understanding!

About Me
Growing up play in chess clubs and in tournaments online my passion for chess grew from an early age and at university I taught private students around central and west London. After leaving I started teaching in schools such as st. Pauls in mill hill and Christchurch school in Hampstead before returning to private tuition due to the covid pandemic. My teaching style tends to be informal and I like to make them as fun and therefore as engaging as possible. This can include playing blitz games playing variants of chess such as king of the hill or 3 check. I’m a big fan of ideas and principles that can be applied at all stages of the games and I try to encourage my students to play principled chess.
