My background within music is much like many of guitarists this day and age. That being- Self Taught!

More recently I have just graduated with a Musicians Degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music in aid of furthering my theoretical knowledge and aiding mastering the Guitar.

However i also play and listen to the majority of genres and cover a wide spectrum of music.

Hi, my name is Dave. I'm a Musician, Composer, Guitar, Piano & Bass tutor with over 15 years experience. After receiving a degree in Jazz and Contemporary music, I was privileged to enjoy a fruitful career not only as a music teacher but also as a full time composer and performer, both live and in the studio.

Music which I composed, performed and recorded was screened in over 25 film festivals worldwide. One of my films, called “Crumble”, is starring Amanda Hale and was selected for BAFTA, won the Silver Remi Award at the 50th Worldfest Houston Film Festival (USA) and was the Official Selection of the 17th East End Film Festival (London).

The learning plan is custom tailored for each and every student, while taking into account the student's current level and musical taste. We'll be working with official sheet music directly from the artist and original studio tracks from the songs you love.

Im an Enthusiastic and passionate guitar teacher based in Putney, South West London. I graduated at the Academy Contemporary Music In 2015 achieving a BMus Hons degree. Since then i've has gone on to play Guitar professionally in cruise ships, theatre, corporate, and original bands and teaching for various different companies and syllabuses. Weather it be in schools or private.

Like to mention I have an Enhanced DBS check and also a Certificate in child protection in Education Level 2. Capable of teaching via zoom or in person.

Not only will your musical abilities improve but so will you english language capabilities as we look to marry music and lyrics in the best possible way. Not only is it a great industry to get into, songwriting has enormous benefits to mental health as it provides a platform for creative expression which in my many years of experience has helped so many of my younger as well as older students. In my class, you will learn the foundations behind creating a great song including: Songwriting forms and structure in all genres, music theory and understanding chord progressions and modes, breaking music theory conventions in order to create a unique sound, great songwriting tools to help with 'writers block', performance coaching and how to convey your songs message on stage as well as all things music industry, including the importance of copyright and how to protect your songs. My students will be working with me on constructing songs as beginners and my more experienced songwriting students will work with professional music industry briefs that I will provide. Students will be able to write songs comfortably and autonomously after only a handful of lessons with me.
