Do you want to play flute, piano or recorder? Do you need some help in musical theory? Lessons for all ages and levels.

Professional musician and performer, laureate of international competitions and graduated from Special Musical College in Saint Petersburg (Russia) in teaching specialisation as well as from la Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne (Master of performance), and from Hochschule fur Musik in Basel (Master in contemporary music) proposes flute, recorder, piano and musical theory lessons. I have 10 years of teaching experience in Switzerland, France, and Russia.
During our lessons you will learn how to play music of different genres, from baroque to contemporary and pop, depending on your wishes. The lessons are suitable for all ages and levels and can be given in English, German, French or Russian.

About Me

I am a professional music teacher, player, and composer living in Basel, Switzerland. I possess two Master diplomas in classical and contemporary music as well as a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Audio design.
I propose private lessons of flute, piano, recorder, Ableton live and musical theory for for kids and adults.
With each student I develop a special program based on students needs and wishes. I am willing to help you to discover your talent and to develop your musical skills. Depending on the lesson you choose, I will teach you how to improvise on your own and in a group, how to start composing your own music or how to interpret pieces of classical, contemporary or pop music.
I speak English, German, French and Russian.
I will be happy to get to know you and share new musical experiences!

If you want to start making your own music, I will be happy to introduce you the basic functions and tools of Ableton live. You will learn how to record, sample and edit your sounds. Together we will work on your first compositions and on how to make them sound better and better.

Singer trained at the Schola Cantorum of Basel (from medieval chant to the 20th century), I offer a general singing course: basic vocal technique (posture, breath work, sound work), discovery of different repertoires (depending on the student's tastes; pop repertoires also possible), work on interpretation. I can accompany the student on the keyboard. I work with people of all ages, beginners or not. The goal is to progress in a climate of trust.

You can also contact me for music theory lessons only (reading notes and rhythm, deciphering, notions of music theory, ear work).

I finally give piano lessons to beginners.

My primary focus is on creating a personal connection and approach to the chosen instruments and to music in general. This includes (depending on your wishes, of course) your own musical expression, improvisation, songwriting (with lyrics if desired), song accompaniment and improvisation, as well as music theory and instrument-specific references.

Stylistically, the focus is on blues, rock, folk pop and world music, with strong references and influences from classical music, hip hop, electronic music and jazz.

Course for beginners and advanced students

My course focuses on the personal realtion between the individual, the chosen instruments and the music itself. This includes musical expression, improvisation, songwriting, songwriting, interpretation as well as music theory and specific aspects of the instrument.

I offer beginners' classes in piano and harpsichord for any age, and can additionally provide the basics in music theory.
A passionate learner myself, I started harpsichord at age 5 and have recently graduated with a Masters from the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Specialized Performance (Improvisation). My experience teaching started in New York where I taught school students piano and music theory. I am also a professional continuo player accompanying Baroque orchestras on the harpsichord, as well as a composer of experimental music.
My experience in very different musical scenes gives me a unique approach to studying that allows me to adapt the content and structure of lessons according to where the student wants to develop their skills. This can include focus on exercises like scales and arpeggios; studying simple pieces from Classical, Baroque or even Pop repertoire; figured bass; body posture awareness; and trying more experimental things through free improvisation techniques! I've also found that accompanying practice with theory helps to deepen one's understanding and joy at learning this beautiful music.
