Lessons consist of:
• Looking at a few example questions to gauge the level of understanding the student has of the topic.
• Going through the content of the topic, going through any derivations and key ideas, so that the student develops an intuition for the topic, instead of just memorisation.
• Trying a few practice questions, with my guidance if the student gets stuck, where I give the student prompts so the student can come up with a line of reasoning for themselves so that it is repeatable.
• Finishing off with a timed exam question to prepare for the real thing.

Experience:
• Tutored a couple of primary school children on a weekly basis covering a range of topics at the key stage 2 level, mostly improving and furthering their knowledge of what they were being currently taught in school.
• Briefly tutored a few friends of mine at GCSE level.
• Conducted a mock interview for a friend who was applying to study maths at Cambridge.

Given my real-life research experience and an advanced degree in applied mathematics, I can provide just that: real-world applicable examples of different mathematical concepts to keep the students engaged and interested in the subject matter. For instance, a simple concept like of percentages can be explained by relating it to expenses and the pocket money. Even seemingly daunting topics like Trigonometry and Differential Equations become accessible and exciting when I would explain how they are applied in sustaining not one or two but four different trillion-dollar industries.

Another example where students will be able to relate to with seemingly abstract concepts would be understanding the role of linear algebra in developing modern technology such as smartphones, GPS systems, and some firefighting equipment.

I make mathematics relatable, enjoyable, and comprehensible by offering numerous examples that demonstrate its practical significance. Whether your aspirations lie in sports, science, or medicine, mathematics is an indispensable tool, and my aim is to make the learning experience enjoyable and rewarding for every student.

A comprehensive English class for beginners to advanced! Taught by a native English speaker and lessons can be in Italian or French. We will be speaking English for most of the class, you will have speaking practice every lesson as well as listening, reading and writing which I will correct and mark. We will have grammar lessons and I will explain common mistakes you make, as well as taking you through complicated pronunciation or grammar rules.

I have an excellent understanding of language, I grew up speaking English and Italian, and I learnt French at school, so I understand how language should be taught and what some common difficulties are. I am also learning Turkish and hopefully soon I will be able to teach in Turkish.
