Already done some Spanish but want to improve? Got some grammar issues? Want to work on your communication? Preparing for an exam? You always wanted to learn Spanish and have decided that the time might be just now? I can help you!

My name is Irene. I come from Guadalajara, a town close to Madrid, but live in beautiful Barcelona.

I understood very early that I like not only learning but also teaching languages and studied my Masters of Linguistics Applied to Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have lived in France, India, Germany and Russia teaching Spanish. During these 15 years of teaching, I learnt a lot about different methods, people and logics.
I use a variety of resources (textbooks, articles, small videos, audios...) providing examples, exercises and homework so that what is to be learnt is doable and designed for your learning preferences. I adapt my classes to what students want and need so they make the most of their time and money.

I think it is very important for students to feel comfortable and safe. It is also essential that what we do and talk about in class makes sense and is relevant for you. It is your goal and personal style of learning what will define our classes.

I also speak English, French, German and Russian. I can explain in the student′ s mother tongue if necessary although my goal will be to speak Spanish from the very beginning with affordable exercises adapted to your level.

I love teaching and learning new languages because they bring us closer.

First, I always want to hear from the student what his or her expectations are from me and the classes. Maybe you would like to focus on one of the four main elements of the language: vocabulary, grammar, speaking, and writing. It is important for me to take into account the level of a person, to create confidence and thereby stimulate speech. I apply the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for better results. After each class, we evaluate and at the beginning, we talk about what we learned in the last class. Repeating is necessary and many times not experienced as fun, but together we will make it something fun!

Learn Spanish naturally with a native speaker!

Hi! My name is Julia, and I'm a native Spanish speaker from Spain with fluent English. I love helping students gain confidence speaking Spanish in a relaxed, friendly, and interactive environment.

Whether you're moving to Spain, preparing for travel, improving your conversation skills, or simply learning for fun, I will tailor each lesson to your goals and level.

My lessons focus on:

✔ Real-life conversations
✔ Pronunciation and listening comprehension
✔ Everyday vocabulary and useful expressions
✔ Spanish culture and traditions
✔ Grammar explained naturally through conversation
✔ Role plays and interactive activities

I work with teenagers and adults from beginner to intermediate levels. Every lesson is personalized, engaging, and designed to help you speak Spanish with confidence from day one.

If you're preparing for school, relocating to Spain, or simply want to become more fluent, I'll be happy to help you achieve your goals.

¡Nos vemos en clase!

Why choose Julia?

She can also mention:

🇪🇸 Native Spanish speaker
🇬🇧 Fluent in English
🌍 International experience living in Spain and Sweden
💬 Friendly, patient, and supportive teaching style
🎯 Personalized lessons adapted to each student
I would also change the profile photo

The current avatar looks very formal and doesn't convey warmth. A bright, smiling, high-quality headshot with a neutral background will significantly increase trust. On tutoring platforms, friendly photos often lead to more inquiries because students and parents feel more comfortable approaching the teacher.

This profile would be considerably stronger than the current one and would appeal to the types of students you've been receiving on Apprentus, such as adults relocating to Spain, conversation learners, and teenagers preparing for school.
