My name is Tommy and I am a passionate, experienced, and qualified, Native English Teacher from England. I have good experience teaching English to all levels, adults and children, in schools and online. I pride myself on offering tailor-made, fun, and creative classes for all my students. About Me

I offer a highly personalised approach to teaching. Every student is different and learns differently, so to have a one size fits all attitude to teaching is counter productive. Based on your needs I will design a unique, fun, and highly creative learning experience.

I also offer learning English through Drama, Film, and creative writing. As an award winning writer & director of films and theatre I have a great wealth of experience to draw from here. I am a trusted editor of scripts, poetry, and prose, and have an excellent knowledge of world literature and art.

I am also interested in using mnemonic, oral techniques, using poetry and song, to better remember vocabulary and structures and expand our proficiency and profound understanding of language. Here we will not be afraid to dive deep so, again, if you are interested in creating a more meaningful relationship to the English language, then this is the course for you. I can teach English, Irish, and American dialects and there is nothing I enjoy more than a discussion about the etymology of a word or phrase.

I was born in Barcelona... a long time ago. I grow up in this town, but now I live a bit far from here. I studied at the University of Barcelona and in Huddersfield (near Shefield, Halifax, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool,...not very far from York: quite nice places and better people), and I've been teaching Catalan, Spanish, Phillsofy, History and English for a long time...since I was 16. What happened? Very short, I promise: I was walking down the street two years ago, from just opposite this private school, and I thought myself: well, you might enter this place and see. I like English language very much... and the UK,... but I don' t have a poster of the Queen on my bedroom's wall. It was a sort of a blind date.
