Hello! I'm Isobel, a TEFL certified English teacher from London. I have extensive experience in private tutoring in English literature, history, and English as a second language.

My methods are based on the communicative approach, which aims to foster confidence and English fluency in students. Above all, I want English to be something that my students like to learn. To this end, I design my classes to be fun, including authentic materials in line with my students' interests, whether it be art, politics, sports or cooking.

In my experience, each student comes with specific needs and that is why I strive to create a tailored program. We will work on the four language skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, through activities that are relevant to your needs and goals.

Do you need to use English to write emails at work? Then we will practice writing and rewriting emails. Do you want to speak more in English during meetings? Next, we will focus on "dramatizing" these scenarios. Are you about to take an academic course in which you will have to write essays in English? No problem! I invite you to individual English Conversational Classes with humor! Learning a language does not have to be boring and monotonous. Classes with me will allow you to learn English quickly and pleasantly. Grammar exercises will not be the main part of the classes (unless requested). I will put an emphasis on conversations because communication is one of the most important skills. Being familiar with the language is the key to success!

Since I was a little kid I had English conversation with an American Native. I have traveled to United States a few times for a longer period of time. I have studied both my Bachelor's Degree and my Master's Degree in English.

Can you get the audience's attention if they take out their phones? Do you feel nervous when presenting at work? Do you modulate your voice enough and use your body to communicate passion and professionalism?

I will help you prepare your presentation and train you to say it with confidence in 3 sessions. You will improve your stage presence, your non-verbal communication on video and, most importantly, what makes you most nervous: your connection with the audience. You'll improvise and prepare, and we'll add some humor and parts where you'll engage with the audience. You will learn that it is normal to be nervous, because as humans we fear rejection and public speaking threatens our safety. Once you understand that your fear is normal and we explore the "worst case scenario", you will start to enjoy the presentation because you will focus on the audience's experience and you can be sure that your content is good enough that they will not be afraid. throw tomatoes for a bad performance.

Many exercises will be done so that you lose that intense fear of failure. This is why people don't make videos and don't talk. Fear of rejection and impostor syndrome.

I am a high school English teacher from Australia with a decade of teaching experience. I have taught in Australia, England, and Chile and have recently moved to Barcelona.

I am offering after-school tutoring in the subject of English (Language/Literature), whether it be in the British, IB, or American curriculum. (Based on my experience, they are all thankfully very similar!).

I am passionate about the English language and have a Master in Writing and Publishing from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia.
