Sciences and English tutoring to prepare students for school exams
From 35.78 C$ /h
Holding a BSc in Biology from LAU and currently pursuing a MSc degree in Pharmacology at AUB, I specialize in tutoring sciences (biology, chemistry) and english for school students. My goal is to keep students motivated and confident about their academic skills. Students need to realize that practice is the essential key to ace exams. I care more about helping the students in their curriculum at school rather than giving them extra homework and overwhelming them with it. However, if the student is eager for more, offering extra exercises and practice is my pleasure.

About Me
Believing that one of the most essential ingredients in tutoring is chemistry, I aim to establish the student's learning style so that I will be able to present information in a way that has the greatest effect. This is why after being contacted, I start with an in-depth interview with the parents and the student. I will also try contacting the student's teachers in the subjects I tutor because this will also help me to get a feel for the curriculum, ascertain what upcoming tests, assignments and exams to prepare for and the level of confidence the student has in class. I also aim to build more confidence in the student because when students believe they are confident, they will automatically have more faith in their abilities and potential.
I will try as much as possible to help the student feel that studying is not an obligation but rather a fun and enjoyable activity. And having been involved in tutoring before, I believe I have the patience and the calmness that will make me succeed in doing so.
I'm a person who is always keen to learn new things, and this is why in addition to completing the required courses for my major at LAU, I joined the Honor's Program where I took graduate courses which were considered to be more challenging than the usual courses offered.
