I have a wealth of experience in the education system in Europe, Asia and Canada. The subjects I specialise in are: English, ESL, Math (to Grade 8) and Acting classes, if requested.

I regularly tutor English and ESL from Kindergarten to Adults and my sessions are suitable for beginners to intermediate/advanced learners. I can assist with all aspects of the English Language: reading, writing, speaking and listening, English Literature, essay writing, comprehension, phonics to name a few.

Alongside my educational career, I am a theatre performer so I love to incorporate creativity in my sessions. I make sure all classes are unique to my students, fun, visual and interactive!

About Me

Originally from London, but now residing in Toronto, Canada I am an enthusiastic, organised and hardworking (BA) Drama graduate with a 2:1 honours, who has also trained as a professional actor at the 2 year professional course in Acting at L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, Paris.
Alongside being a performer and Artistic Director of Bric à Brac Theatre Company,
I regularly runs theatre/acting workshops, uses drama to enrich the curriculum
across London schools and abroad at International Schools and aids students with English, ESL and Math tutoring sessions alongside their curriculum.

I have a wealth of experience in the education system in the Europe, Asia and Canada and I'm looking forward to expanding my teaching network here in Toronto.

Undoubtedly, English is one of the most important languages in the world from both a social and professional perspective. I grew up in Toronto, graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours BA in English Literature, and have experience teaching both adults and younger students. I specialize in conversation classes, and my students have all attained great results quite quickly -- they've become more confident in speaking, and have increased their vocabularies significantly.
I also provide consultation in academic writing and school applications. My clients have gone on to study in schools such as Yale, UPenn Wharton, and other prestigious universities.
I am also fluent in Chinese. I teach my classes in English, but will switch to Chinese on especially difficult concepts if the students are struggling to comprehend my explanations in English. I can also provide feedback in Chinese outside of lesson hours. I find that this arrangement has been very helpful for my students, and have consistently increased their understanding and progress.

It is also for those who already have some knowledge of the English language and would like to improve their communication skills. Taking part in this class will guarantee ones ability to speak for casual conversations, business or academic purposes.

I am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and have worked for the Toronto Catholic District School Board for 15 years. In addition, I have taught ESL beginner classes and advance classes for 5 years at the secondary level for international students. The classes consisted of visual activities, oral presentations, writing and reading material that are culturally relevant for the learner.

Hello, my name is Kate and I am a first-year student at the University of Toronto, majoring in political science and double minoring in European Affairs and Human Geography. I've attended the British School in the Netherlands and have completed both my GCSE's and the IB. During my GCSE's I took separate sciences, spanish, english literature, maths, drama and geography with grades ranging from 6-9.

In IB I took higher level english literature, geography, spanish and standard level maths applications and interpretations, psychology and biology. My predicted was 39 and I've recieved 34 points in total with acceptance from universities like University College London, Kings College London, University of Toronto, Leiden University, Amsterdam University, Maastricht and I passed the Oxford exam.
