I am a Greek passionate teacher and together we will be a life-long learners, because a great teacher is not afraid to learn right alongside their students. Greek is a very ancient language and my native language as well! I would love to let you dive into the world of the Greek language and culture as well! Even if you have no idea how "Mousakas" or "Souvlaki" is pronounced, don't worry! I am here to help and teach you step by step!

This class is about learning the greek language. The focus is on learning greek in order to communicate in your everyday life (including work) or to obtain the greek diploma. I'm a native speaker teacher who loves to teach the greek language.

I am a Greek native language teacher located in Athens, Greece. I offer private 1-to-1 online lessons in English, German and modern Greek. I usually suggest a textbook (for communicative or business purposes), but also provide the learner with handouts, in order to offer an authentic language experience. I provide and suggest extra educational material for self-study. I also prepare students for certification exams.

This class is for foreigners living in Athens, Greece, that want to learn the basics (and more) of the Greek language for various reasons like business, curiosity to explore the greek language, communicating better with loved ones etc.. You will learn how to understand, listen, read and speak this complicated yet interesting and historic language. I focus a lot on the greek pronunciation and grammar, since those are the sections most foreigners struggle with. Along with the language, you will also learn many ancient greek words, because the modern greek language derives from the ancient greek and the grammar is closely related to it. Last but not least, you will be teached some things about the greek culture and history and if asked, you could learn about greek urban dictionary. I started gaining experience by volunteeringly teaching it to my foreign friends and to refugees since I was 16 years old. Moreover, the fact that I took many language classes growing up ( french, japanese, spanish, english), and still do, helped me learn new patterns from my teachers and apply them in my classes. Ancient Greek is one of the oldest languages in the world. A multitude of literary and philosophical texts have been written in this language. Later, Latin will take up many elements of the heritage of ancient Greek. Today, about 10% of the words in the French language have an ancient Greek origin. Our educational exchange aims to understand ancient Greek culture and Western European culture in general. Although it is a dead language, ancient Greek can instill values in us, broaden our horizons and even help us understand French better. At first we will study the alphabet and the general rules of word formation. With the help of mythology and texts (philosophical, literary and others), you will be able to understand basic words, phrases and expressions and get to know the world of ancient Greece. Finally, in Modern Greek, you can prepare for all levels, from A1 to C2.
