The flute is a very delicate and "light" instrument but is much more than that! With this lessons I want to share my knowledge about this amazing instrument. I will adapt myself to the level of the different students and will also adjust my way of teaching. We can work on sound, embochure, posture, music theory, studies and for sure melodies and even duets! I have experience in different styles such as barroque music, classical, romantique, comtemporary, chôrinho, etc... (we can choose what fits you better, or maybe do them all!). I also play the piccolo, wich would be a nice "candy" for you to try on, if you dont play it already. The main goal after all, is that you are comfortable and excited to explore and learn new things while having fun!

About Me

I am a Portuguese flutist that studied bachelor and Masters degree in the Royal Conservatory of Brussel and also Universität der Künste in Berlin. I have experience in playing in orchestra, chamber music and solo. I have participated in festivals, competitions and Masterclasses around Europe specially Belgium and Netherlands.
This year I am an academic with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. I love classical music but also other styles such as jazz and Bossa Nova. And I hope with these lessons to be able to share my knowledge and happiness about making music with you, and also learn, because we always have something to learn from others too. I hope the student to be enthusiastic and engaged. Let's make some music!

Education

I play the flute since I was 10 years old and I studied my Bachelor and Masters degree in the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, in the meantime I also did Erasmus in Berlin.

Experience / Qualifications

I have experience in many genres like barroque music, classical, contemporary, chôrinho and jazz, and in many different formations such as orchestras or chamber music groups. i also play the piccolo and Alto flute.
I have professional orchestral experience with orchestras like the Belgian National Orchestra, La Monnaie orchestra, NedPho and Phion in the Netherlands and also Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
