Hi all!

I am Helena, a classical guitarist from Antwerp. I graduated with a Master's degree in classical guitar (performance) in 2020 and a Master's degree in music education in 2021.
Currently, I am teaching classical guitar at the music school in Antwerpen.

I come from a classical background with a focus on the Spanish and French repertoire of the early 20th century. Besides that, I am interested in singer-songwriter, indie, country, urban, R&B, alternative and lo-fi music.

I usually work on the pupil's sound, interpretation, reading skills, and technique with the classical repertoire. Nevertheless, I prefer to let the pupil decide along with the content of the lessons. I am happy to look into different genres and songs that you want to learn and bring to class. We can furthermore work on hearing, theory, and analysis; practicing scales, improvisation, and chord schemes.

There is also room for your own creativity if you need help with your own creations and compositions, I am happy to look into them.

In the first lesson, we talk about what the content will be and what you would like to learn in the course. Your level and experience with the guitar are not important.

Bring your own classical guitar to class. Other attributes such as a footstool I can provide the first lessons.
For children under 12 years old, it is common to have a smaller 3/4 guitar model.

I like to teach or tutor (classical) guitar for beginners and advanced students. I have a higher level guitar degree in Antwerp and have specialized further in masterclasses. Several music books have been published, including a CD (with Michel Verkempinck) with own compositions.

Good morning! Let me introduce myself, my name is Sacha, I'm 22 years old, I live in Brussels and I had the opportunity to do 3 years of jazz guitar in Antwerp. I've been making music for a few years now, but I've also been interested in other instruments (bass, drums, piano, production)! I give private lessons for beginners and intermediates, the theory is not compulsory, and I adapt to the student so that we reach our goals as quickly as possible!

The most important thing for me is that as the lessons progress, the student gains autonomy, the lessons are aimed at both children and adults who want to deepen their knowledge of the guitar (or music theory). All levels and all ages are welcome, I have already had the opportunity to give lessons to people who have never touched a guitar, as well as to more advanced people.

I adapt according to the student's requests and prerequisites to provide them with a program that suits them best.
