During my studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 2015, MSc.) and in addition to my job as a consultant, I have always taught mathematics and statistics to secondary school students and university students (HBO and WO) with great pleasure. Hi! My name is Lex. I have been tutoring mathematics and physics for secondary school in Den Helder for 3.5 years. Since this year I am now a bachelor's student in mathematics at the University of Amsterdam, and I am looking for a few new students to guide for tutoring.

In this class i help students to organize their homework and help they get good prepared for exams. I find it very important to help a student with understanding the course but also to help them gain more confidence about what they can. Math, Physics and Chemistry are all Beta subjects. I focus on really understanding the courses instead of learning you a trick. It’s also about a lot of practicing with those subjects. I also give History. It’s important to understanding connections between events and why people choose to act in a certain way.

This class is for english speaking students that wish to enhance their performance in mathematics (mainly for high school). Calculus, Algebra, Functions, Probabilities will be the main topics covered. Regarding the study progress, exercises will be at first solved with me and progressively I will give the student autonomy. I believe that practice makes perfect (after learning the theory), therefore the goal is cover as many exercises as possible during class.
