During this class, we are going to work together toward the accomplishment of your goals. If you don't have any but still want to explore your voice (this is already a goal), we can make a plan together that suits you.
I can accompany you in your journey of exploration of your voice, work on your confidence, and build a repertoire by tailoring a lesson that will be fun and creative. I'm a singer-songwriter and therefore we can work on lyric writing as well if it's something that you want to explore.

About Me

I'm a music student myself and I've been studying singing for the past 13 years. With all of these going from one teacher to another, I really understand how a teacher can be something very personal and also temporary (your needs will change over time but I'd be honored to be part of your journey).
Throughout the past decade, I've been learning singing with different methods (Classical, Jazz, Gospel, Functional technique) so I came to the conclusion that the best way to go, is to combine everything together in order to target each and every individual goal. I love to teach and being a student really made me aware of what I want from a teacher so I always do everything I can to be the best fit for you.
During a lesson, we are gonna work on your technique, on a repertoire that can be functional to your path. We are going to listen to the great voices and understand what made them who they have been and try to find your unique features. We can explore whatever you like. We are also going to sing together and play games in order to train the intonation and your listening abilities.
One thing it's for sure, the process isn't easy and it will require a lot of commitment, but in return, I promise loads of fun and nourishing music.

I've been studying vocal jazz at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam where I'm currently a student. I've studied technique for many years before coming to Amsterdam where I then started my Jazz Journey

Experience / Qualifications

As mentioned, I've been a music student for my whole life. I started singing in choir when I was 6 and I've never stopped since. I've also studied piano for many years and flute. I've had experiences in the US thanks to a scholarship I was awarded for two years in a row to go study in a Youth Fine Arts Camp (the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp). I've also studied theater and figurative arts (mostly painting) since a very early age and I tend to combine all pf these tools in my teaching singing as well.

Have you always wanted to play an instrument that is extremely diverse and used in many different music styles? Have a dream to learn to play the trumpet but never knew where to go and where to start? Have you been playing in the past and now you want to pick it up again, or continue learning with a teacher?

Your situation might be described above or be something different, it doesn't matter. I'm offering high-quality, student-centered trumpet lessons with years of teaching experience. My goal is to help you to reach your goals with whatever you want to learn with the instrument, and also equip you with good instrument technique and general music theory knowledge. I have studied both classical and jazz music and played also pop, funk and other styles of music. I have recently graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Persian traditional singing is based on 12 different modes. Every mode comprises various beautiful pieces of melody. I would teach every session one of these pieces to students. Moreover, students will learn traditional songs, Iranian poems, combination of poem & music, voice building exercises and traditional thrilling and vibration which is most interesting part of these lessons. Indeed, this particular vibration so-called Tahrir or Chah Chah cannot be found in any other singing styles.

My lessons are for anyone who wants to delve into electronic music & sound design.
As an experienced composer, producer and sound designer I specialize in applying my broad knowledge and experience in the field of music & technology. Most successful electronic musicians combine different skills, such as working with music production software and hardware, playing a keyboard, recording and mixing, but also music theory and composition techniques.
Because as an electronic musician you often have to deal with different instruments & other sound sources, my lessons are also very suitable if you want to learn to design your own sounds, not only to make music, but also as sound effects for videos or games, for example.

Just like in my own professional practice, I teach the different aspects of electronic music production:
- sound design ('sound design'), both analogue and digital
- synthesis
- composition techniques
- software for music production, so-called 'DAWs' such as Ableton Live
- hardware, such as modular synthesizers and effect units
- production: recording and mixing of audio
- performance of electronic music

It is also possible to learn more about (Western and non-Western) music theory and the history of (electronic) music.

From my background as a sound designer for games & film, much of me can share knowledge and experience in this.

In principle, my lessons are always adapted to the individual needs, knowledge and skills of the student.

For the youngest, my approach is to introduce them to music and technology in a playful way. For this I use my own collection of musical instruments that I have collected over the years from all over the world, and which I link to technology.

Hi, I'm Federica, I am Italian, and I am a Jazz piano player and singer. I studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and I just completed a master in Vocals and Piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a teacher with more than 6 years of experience, I offer private lessons for all ages and all levels.
I learned my teaching skills from famous flute teachers of our time. I have experience teaching both children and adults and I think it is essential that we both have fun while learning something as wonderful as playing music! Lessons are adapted to your needs and we will develop your musicality and technical skills together. In addition to Classical music, we can also work on other music styles if necessary. I have been studying opera and classical singing since the age of 12, as well as jazz, choral, and musical theater singing. I have been performing in musicals since 2015.
These studies have given me a wealth of tools to adapt to what each student needs and wants, because the most important thing is that we never stop enjoying music.

My classes are based on three core principles. The first is having a clear method, rooted in the real functioning of the voice—its physiology (what science tells us about how we use the body to sing)—and applicable to anyone, step by step, with logic. I always prioritize the student’s vocal health and rely on scientifically proven methods. I use simple language, without unnecessary technicalities, so everything is easy to understand and makes sense.

The second is the emotional and psychological aspect. For me, connecting with the person in front of me is essential—understanding how they think, how they perceive themselves, what blocks them, and what motivates them. This way, I can adapt the classes to their personality and goals. I try to create a relaxed environment based on respect, trust, and a little humor, where everyone feels free and comfortable. We aren’t all born with the voice we wish we had, but we can all develop what we do have—and on that journey, singing becomes a way to know and accept yourself better.

And the third is the dedication and professionalism with which I approach this work, which I am truly passionate about.

All classes are divided into a warm-up and vocalization section, followed by work on a chosen piece suited to the student’s level and preferred style. Regardless of style or level, a foundation in classical singing will always be established.
