About Me
I am a Slovenian musician, composer and educator based in Amsterdam and I love sharing joy for music, performing and creating.
My experience spans from playing in various musical projects in the Netherlands and abroad and at different festivals such as Cologne Jazzweek, Jazz Sous les Pommiers, Saalfelden Jazz festival, AMR Jazz Festival, Süd Tirol Jazz Festival, Porta-Jazz, Bezau Beatz festival, Transition Festival, Jazz Fest Amsterdam, Jazz Festival Ljubljana, Grachten Festival, etc. and venues such as Bimhuis, Muziekgebouw aan `t IJ, Lantaren-Venster, Cankarjev Dom etc.. to performing with renowned jazz musicians such as Avishai Cohen, Mats Gustafsson, Harmen Fraanje, Elias Stemeseder, Big Band RTV Slovenia, Jure Pukl etc.
My teaching philosophy centers around taking each student as an individual self and starting from their needs and wishes. Teaching is based on their goal and their weaker areas that needs more attention. The ultimate goal of the lessons is (apart from learning the instrument and music theory) that the student learns awareness and self-accountability and ability to self correct, create exercises on their own and ultimately grow independently.
Music should be fun, therefor the lessons are based on students music interests, passions and creative wishes.
Feel free to reach out to me to discuss your goals, ask questions, or schedule your first lesson. Looking forward to dive on the journey with you!
