I am an Italian tech specialist based in Amsterdam who loves languages and teaches for passion. I have 5-year experience teaching international students in Japan and Australia and would love to teach to students in the Netherlands too!

As a language student myself, I know way too well the challenges of learning a new language, especially when there's little focus on laying out a learning plan, or complete lack thereof.

Should you choose me as your teacher, the first order of the day will be to discuss your learning objectives and define a learning development plan to achieve them! I am also a big proponent of balancing conversation with a strong focus on vocabulary, grammar and sentence analysis. This will empower you to speak confidently, as you will get a great understanding of the correct form. Differently from Dutch or English, Italian is a language that is rooted in grammar and you need to study it with the proper focus!

I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
