This class is for everyone who wants to improve his/her English and German skills. I do not specifically specialise on tutoring for specific exams (I can obviously do that as well) but I want to offer a class that is customised to the students needs. I always try to teach in a fun and engaging manner with real-life context. People learn best by having a positive attitude towards a subject, therefore, I see it as important to establish a positive rapport with my students and spark their interest in the English and German language.

After five years of teaching at international schools as the homeroom teacher, I understand how the school subjests are organized and the tests SAT, GED, GRE, and GMAT exams are focused.

I hope to create a classroom for the students to explore and discover the world around them. Whether it's science, math, or music, the students will learn through the channel of English. After tutoring for over 6 years in the Amsterdam area, I am very familiar with the various school curriculums. Having moved around quite a bit, I understand the stress students undergo adapting to new schooling systems. I enjoy working privately with students to build their confidence. I previously was a primary school teacher of all subjects (Grades 1&2) for a private international school in Dubai. I am familiar with international school curriculum and challenges faced by students when moving to a new country.

I have extensive experience with students of all learning levels. I have been privately tutoring for over 10 years now. English is my first language (I am American). I also have experience tutoring at a higher age (as well as university level). I am an excellent writer, editor, and researcher and work part time in UVA's graduate school in the sociology department. I completed my MSc at UVA and undergraduate at UCLA.
