About Me

I am from the USA, however have been living in Amsterdam since 2007. International environments are my natural habitat. Most of my students had studied English before starting my classes. The most common qualm; they were rarely given the chance to speak! You may be able to memorize every grammar rule, but might not be able to express yourself in a business meeting or change a hotel reservation by phone. My lessons focus on fluency and real-life situations. Depending on your level and needs (general or business English), I can customize a lesson plan for you. Yes, we will study some grammar, but fluency is the main goal.

Many people can struggle or feel uncomfortable when learning a new language. I teach English conversation and use exercises to highlight the basics to get through a conversation. There can be nothing worse than having t go through grammar tables after a day at work. I work on speed of delivery, pronunciation, simplicity. If you need to give a speech in business English then this can be daunting for many people, there is no need to be afraid, take the first step and contact me. In 2023, I've obtained a Master degree in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale.
