I am a QTS-certified specialist English teacher, with a wealth of experience in both literature and second language teaching. Our focus will be on promoting a range of English skills and helping you towards two crucial outcomes. Firstly, you will become proficient and make progress towards your goals in whichever English language specification you are pursuing. Secondly, you will develop your general English skill and improve your practical English proficiency. I will not just prepare you for the test, I will also coach you on how to use these English skills in everyday life!
I specialise in IELTS, as it is where I have the majority of my experience, but I am also familiar with TOEFL specifications and will happily adapt to your needs. After a short assessment in our first session, all future lessons will be tailored entirely to your own needs. Likely I will set you a piece of homework every week, depending on what those needs are.

Extra information
You will need a laptop or other device capable of running Zoom. In addition, you will need access to some sort of word processor (ideally Microsoft Office or Google Drive, but I will happily accept work created in Pages.)

I am an enthusiastic and knowledgeable English teacher living in the outskirts of Amsterdam.
I have a broad range of experience teaching English from multiple perspectives. While my first love is literature, I am also greatly experienced not only at teaching English as a foreign language, but also teaching to internationally-recognised English proficiency tests, such as IELTS and TOEFL. The course I have taught for the past two years is renowned for its extremely high rates of progression to UvA, an elite institution. I am also highly proficient at remote teaching, having taught dozens of students via video chat tools.
