I teach sewing classes for both beginners and advanced students. You will learn the basics of sewing techniques, working with patterns, hand finishing, and designing your own garments, among other things. Additionally, I can offer guidance in setting up your own fashion business, including support with branding and marketing.
Extra information
I have my own sewing machines that we can work on, but I don't mind giving lessons on another machine at home.

Ready to stop dreaming and start building?
This intimate, no-fluff workshop is designed for beginner entrepreneurs who are ready to find their passion, craft a vision, and take real steps toward launching their own business — with guidance from someone who's walked the walk.

Led by a seasoned Amsterdam entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience running a successful tour company, featured on Netflix and in major German documentaries, this class strips away the Instagram fantasy and gets into the real, gritty, beautiful process of turning an idea into a thriving business.
🔥 What You'll Learn:

Finding Your Passion – Discover your unique strengths and how to turn them into a business that feels aligned and alive.

Business Foundations 101 – Learn what actually matters when starting out: from niche selection and value propositions to basic branding and messaging.

From Idea to Action – How to go from "I have an idea" to "I’m building this thing for real."

Monetizing Your Magic – Learn practical methods to earn from your passion — even before you're “fully ready.”

Confidence as Currency – How to show up, pitch yourself, and tell your story with clarity and power.

Lessons From the Field – Candid stories and insights from 12+ years of running a business in one of the world’s most competitive tourism markets.

💡 Who This Is For:

Aspiring entrepreneurs who feel stuck or unsure where to begin

Creatives, travelers, and dreamers ready to take control of their work life

Anyone who’s got passion but needs help turning it into a plan

Business beginners who want real talk, not recycled Pinterest quotes

📍 Class Details:

Location: Central Amsterdam – cozy studio or private workspace

Format: Interactive workshop (1-on-1 or small group, max 6)

Duration: 2 hours

Includes: Workbook, resource guide, and a follow-up 1:1 check-in session

You don’t need a business degree. You need direction, inspiration, and the guts to begin.
This workshop is your first real step toward living life on your terms — building a business that’s yours, powered by you, and guided by someone who's done it before.

Sign up now and start building the life they told you was “too unrealistic.”
Because unrealistic dreams are exactly the ones worth chasing.

Don't want to just throw away your beloved broken or ill-fitting clothes? But can't figure it out yourself? With a few simple steps, they get a well-deserved second life, and often without a sewing machine! Repairing and altering clothes is wonderfully sustainable, good for your wallet, and also wonderfully zen to do.

What are you learning?

We will work specifically on the garments that you bring yourself and/or the techniques that you want to learn yourself. Taking into account the time and your own possibilities/sewing level, we will try to make your clothing wearable again. You will receive personal advice and learn specific techniques to tackle the problems with the clothing you brought. You will also learn about materials and tools that you can use to repair and adjust clothing. At the end of the lesson, you will have made one or more garments wearable again and learned a lot of techniques that you can continue to apply at home on broken and ill-fitting garments.
If you choose to book a series of multiple lessons, I can offer you a full clothing repair course, covering as many clothing repair techniques as possible.
At the end of each lesson you will receive a handout to take home, which explains the techniques again.

What are you bringing?

Clothing with torn seams or loose hems, stains, holes, tears, broken zippers, missing buttons or hooks. Clothing that is too big or too small in the waist, too long or too short in the hem, etc. If you have some sewing supplies at home, you can bring them along: needles, pins, thread, scissors, tape measure and seam ripper. If you don't have any, don't worry, all the necessary tools are available. And if you want to continue working at home, you can buy a Mending Kit from the teacher on the spot. There are also (vintage) haberdashery and materials for sale.
