Music is one of the cornerstones of a healthy and happy life and it would be my pleasure to help guide you through part of your musical journey. I teach all skill levels and ambitions, whether you want to play bass a hobby, set up a band with friends or want to prepare for a conservatory audition, I can help you. In my teaching I try to give you the best foundational skills to achieve your musical goals. This means a high level of customization is possible if you have an idea of what direction you want to head down, but I will of course guide you on the way as well.

As a bassist my strong suits are Rock, Pop, RnB and Neo Soul but through the years I have recorded and played live shows in a host of different genres (Jazz, Fusion, Reggae, Ska, Hard rock etc) so my teaching is by all means not contained to a few genres, I believe having a good overview over different kinds of music is very important.

I am originally from Rotterdam, the Netherlands and have been playing bass since I was 13 years old. I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Electric Bass from BIMM Berlin and have studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston (Summer 2018), Holland College in Canada (2019-2020) and am an alumni of the Popkurs at the HfmT Hamburg (2025). As a session bassist in Berlin I have recorded in many great studios with Grammy award winning and nominated producers and engineers (Sting, Billie Eilish). Apart from this I play for multiple artists and have played shows in venues such as Festsaal Kreuzberg, Columbiatheater, Lido, Badehaus, Maschinenhaus, Kantine Am Berghain, Privatclub and run a YouTube channel with over 500.000 views. Next to this I teach students both in person and online and occasionally work at a music venue, basically I do anything to always be in a musical environment!

I can't wait to get started with helping you achieve your musical goals!

About Me
In my teaching I maintain a lot of individuality. I do not teach with a rigorous system or method in place but leave much room to tailor my lessons to the needs and interests of the student, which I believe to be the best approach as everyone has different goals and Electric bass as an instrument has many 'correct' ways to be approached. This can range from students wanting to occasionally play a couple songs with their friends all the way to students looking to get admitted into conservatories and delving into intense studies. However, no matter what goals you set for yourself the most important thing in studying the bass remains to have fun.
Education
I hold a bachelor degree in Professional Musicianship from BIMM Berlin which I graduated from in 2023. Apart from this I have spent time studying at Holland College in Canada and Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Experience / Qualifications
I have recorded in studios for many artists over the past years and regularly play gigs in venues such as Columbiatheater, Festsaal Kreuzberg, Lido, Privatclub etc.

This class is for all music enthusiasts, whether you’re just getting started and need a solid foundation or already experienced and looking to level up.
I'm a DJ and music production instructor with 15 years of experience, and the founder of DJ School Berlin. I also run my own label and organise events.
My classes take place in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, and are fully focused on your needs and goals. I teach both fundamental concepts and creative techniques, while supporting you in the development of your artistic project

I also compose music for media (trailers, films, ads, games, etc) and perform live focusing on sound exploration and experimental performance.
This means we can absolutely work on different musical genres or more unconventional, creative approaches.

Passionate about dancefloor energy, it’s behind the decks and my machines that I feel most alive — and I truly love passing that on.
I perform regularly in Berlin in clubs such as Watergate, Sisyphos, Hoppetosse, RSO, Golden Gate, etc., as well as abroad, most recently in Belgrade, London, Amsterdam, Paris, etc.

Having worked in an artist management agency (Talent Scoot), I bring an added layer to the sessions — connecting technical skills with artistic vision, and helping you shape and push your artistic project forward

----

Sessions usually last 2 hours, and can take place face-to-face or online, solo or in a group.

. Group sessions (1-3) are friendly, less expensive, more dynamic in terms of learning and interesting because you get to observe another student correcting TPs or or discussing techniques, which leads to valuable insights.
. In 1-1 if you're more comfortable solo, and for more effective learning focused on you and your pace.

I'll give you the keys to :
- Get to grips with Ableton Live and set up an efficient workflow
- Understand sound structure and audio manipulation
- Compose your own tracks and develop your artistic identity
- Explore different types of synthesis and sound design
- Master the use of effects and audio processing
- Structure, arrange, and bring your ideas to life
- Learn mixing techniques and how to properly export your projects
- If you're already experienced, dive into advanced production techniques to refine your craft

I'll also accompany you and advise you on the purchase of your equipment/plugins/tools.

Classes take place either in my studio in Kreuzberg, equipped with 2 CDJs, 2 vinyl decks, workstation, synths, drum machines and controllers or online with screen sharing with dynamic practice, TPs and follow up.
They are a mix of theory and practice, and we also cover the values and precepts of this art form, giving you lots of pro tips and tricks, as well as creative goodies (VSTs, effects, personal racks)

Don't hesitate to contact me for more information, I can send you a detailed document explaining all aspects of the training, the techniques covered, as well as the essential theoretical knowledge. You'll develop a complete understanding of the material, learn how to tell your musical story, create, record, finish, export and share your work.

I am looking forward to playing music with you.
