I have A Levels and studied German at the Goethe Institute in Munich to C1 (bachelor’s level). I am currently studying again further for a post graduate diploma in translation at the University of Westminster.

I am a French and Spanish student in my second year at King's College London. I studied French, Spanish and History at A level and received A*s in all three subjects in addition to 11 A*s and 1 A at GCSE. I am happy to tutor for GCSE and A level students on both language skills and exam technique in addition to anyone else looking to learn a language!
I would start off teaching the basics if necessary and quickly revise the essentials. I would focus on the four main areas of learning a language; speaking, listening, reading and writing. I would do this through resources such as worksheets and fun activities such as games or quizzes. As a languages student, I understand how scary learning a new language can be. As a result, I would be encouraging and make the student feel as comfortable as possible in speaking in a foreign language.

The only thing you should worry about is having a pen ready :)

I like to work with photocopies, I would give a few homework, which we would correct together. I like to work through logic (I would try to make you understand why everything is like that) and not through rules of the language (because that's how it is and you have to learn it)
I would like you to understand it instead of studying (like many people do).
