Experience / Qualifications
I have experience in both tutoring and teaching. Since secondary school I have provided tutoring classes in maths, science, French, and English. This has been either on in one-to-one or group settings. This tutoring experience taught me how to comopse lesson plans and strcture tutoring classes
Additionally, I have worked as a teaching assistant at Leiden University. In this role, I helped first-year mathematics and computer science students understand their study material. In addition, I helped grade homwork sets and answer questions from students.
On top of that, I have experience teaching languages. After the war in Ukraine broke out, I provided Dutch classes for Ukrainian refugees based in Leiden. There was such enthousiasm from the community that I ended up teaching six hours a week. For these classes, I selected the lesson material, provided lesson plans, and actively asked feedback from the students about their wishes.
Finally, I led Russian classes at the UCL Russian society. I provided weekly classes for both beginners and intermediates. This role involved creating presentations, selecting useful exercises, and helping students with their pronounciation.
