A good English teacher must have the same qualities as any teacher: patience, understanding, listening, empathy... In addition to being a teacher.
However, giving English lessons is not giving mathematics lessons!
To be a good teacher you will have to speak in English as often as possible.
Why not use an educational advisor for some teaching advice?
You still say, "Teach English yes, but how?"
You can also ask those around you for advice: if you know a French teacher, a maths teacher, etc.
It does not matter! Pedagogy is not a matter of history.
You will have to establish a real relationship of trust between you and the student and be able to supervise it in a professional way.
How to find students?
– Many platforms provide private teachers for mathematics lessons, Spanish lessons, French private lessons, German lessons, Italian lessons, Chinese lessons, etc.
-There are often classified ads left in schools, bakeries... Why not apply? (example: English lessons in Paris).
