Trusted teacher: Explorations, Sensations, Experiences. That's what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is. Plus, you do not have to be "experienced" to take the course - it's made for you to attend just after your PADI Open Water Diver course. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you develop your scuba diving techniques so you are more comfortable in the water. It's a fun way to gain more diving experience while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You plan your learning journey with me by choosing your dives from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two compulsory dives - Deep and Underwater Navigation - and you choose three more, which makes a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive you will learn how to plan dives to cope with the physiological effects and challenges of deep diving. The Diving Adventure Dive Underwater Orientation refines your compass and orientation navigation techniques by using kicking cycles, visual cues and time. Other knowledge and techniques vary depending on your interests and the dive themes you have chosen - photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, wreck exploration and many more. ---------- What you learn during this class ---------- The techniques and knowledge you learn during your Advanced Open Water Diver course vary according to your interests and adventures, but they include: - The practical aspects of deep diving. - The physiological effects of scuba diving deeper. - The different ways to use your underwater compass. - How to estimate a distance and navigate underwater using the kicking cycles, visual cue points and time. - How to better use your dive computer and Multilevel Electronic Recreation Diving TableMN (eTPLMN) And many, many other things, depending on the Adventure dives you have selected. ---------- ---------- Prerequisite To take this course, you must: - Be a certified Open Water Diver PADI diver (or hold a recognized qualification from another training organization).
