Trusted teacher: Hello everyone, My name is Chi-Chi, and I am thrilled to be your tutor for this course. I bring a rich background in finance and investment management, having worked as an Equity Research Analyst at the largest financial data company in Taiwan. My experience includes conducting extensive industry research, performing financial analysis, and providing weekly stock recommendations that achieved remarkable returns. Additionally, I have hands-on experience as a Derivatives, Index, and Equity Trader, developing quantitative trading strategies and achieving impressive results. I hold an MSc in Investment Management from Bayes Business School in London, where I excelled in modules such as Portfolio Management, Quantitative Methods, and Advanced Financial Statement Analysis. Also, I expect to graduate with distinction. I have a double major in Business Administration and Finance from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, where I ranked in the top 10% of my class. Throughout this course, we will delve into various aspects of investment management and financial analysis. You can expect to learn about: 1. Industry research and market dynamics 2. Comprehensive financial analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF) and company valuations 3. Risk management techniques and tools such as Python 4. Practical strategies for trading and investment My teaching approach will focus on real-world applications and hands-on exercises to ensure you gain practical skills that can be directly applied in the finance industry. I encourage an interactive and engaging learning environment, so please feel free to ask questions and participate actively in discussions. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with you and helping you succeed in your studies and future careers in finance. Best regards, Chi-Chi

Trusted teacher: I am a UCL Biological Sciences student seeking to offer a highly personalised tutoring experience that caters to my students' needs. I currently teach from Year 7 upwards with a speciality in exam preparation. I teach Geography, RS, Physics, and English from Years 7-11, and Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry from Years 7-13. I aim to understand my tutees' unique concerns and explain concepts simply with many alternative approaches. As someone who has experienced obstacles to my own learning, I have a lot of empathy for students struggling with their learning, particularly those with learning differences and endeavour to develop an approach that works for them. I was a strong student in secondary school (Queen’s College, London) achieving A*s and As (and equivalents) at GCSE and three As at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Particularly of note, I received a 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 98% in GCSE Religious Studies, and was awarded a sixth-form academic scholarship. I am an experienced tutor - I participated in a tutoring scheme in secondary school which allowed students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ask any questions they might be struggling with in any subject they wished. This allowed me to continue to engage with my GCSE content during my A-Level years and taught me how to listen to and understand the particular needs of each student at a given moment. I also tutored family and friends of family, allowing me to engage personally with my students and develop a specialised teaching approach. I offer one hour and two hour sessions and am free on weekends, after 5pm, and whenever my university timetable permits. I am generally free at all times outside of university term time.

Trusted teacher: I teach beginning and advanced aspiring pianists of all ages (3+) with a focus on immersing students in the magical world of music and getting the best possible quality out of them by challenging to achieve more than assumed possible. Music is a soul-enriching experience and developing musical skills can be a great gift for a lifetime. With solo piano performance degrees from the Royal Academy of Music (London) and the Universität der Künste (Berlin) I am a highly qualified award-winning concert pianist with almost 20 years of teaching experience and a passion for education. My musical learning was also furthered by postgraduate musicological studies at Royal Holloway and serious interests in philosophy, religions, history, civilization, literature, poetry, law, languages as well as many other things. I loved my musical journey which included not only piano but also composition, the violin, recorder, flute, harpsichord and clavichord from childhood onwards. In the last two decades, teaching has been giving meaning to my life and I enjoy helping others to find fulfillment as well as joy in their learning. My teaching approach is comprehensive, builds up confidence and incorporates a multidisciplinary orientation thanks to which students get promptly enthused over their learning. There is a focus on enhancing musical understanding, developing or improving reading skills, building up technique, expanding repertoire in a healthy way and foundationally preventing or sorting out injuries as well as pain-related problems. Although my teaching style is primarily quality-oriented with regards to skills, I believe that happiness, confidence, results and a sane sense of achievement are important components to balance in holistic education and offer a non-judgemental, patient, kind, equality-oriented, multicultural environment in which learning can thrive. I encourage students to perform in concerts, festivals, exams and competitions. Many have won prizes in numerous competitions and passed exams with distinctions. Others have improved their technical skills as well as understanding of music, thus opening more doors and finding professional opportunities in the world of music.

Trusted teacher: For the past 7 years, I have tutored 80+ IB Biology and Chemistry students online up to date, and hundreds of students face-to-face. They have all achieved top grades (levels 6 and 7 only), and many of my tutees have gone on to study Medicine, Dentistry and Natural Sciences at top universities in the world (University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, UCL, Imperial College, King's College...). I, myself, have studied Master of Pharmacy at UCL (MPharm) and Graduate Medicine at University of Cambridge (MB BChir). For every exam period, I take up approximately 10 students to teach online. Every student that I tutored from last year's batch (May 2019 exam) received 7s (from Bio and Chem when I tutored them the subject). I teach students in groups of 2 or 3s at my house in London. Moreover, I also teach crash courses of IB Biology and IB Chemistry before the final exams in April time. If you're interested in normal tutoring lessons, I will help you understand any IB Chemistry or Biology concepts in an easy manner. I have taught the International Baccalaureate Chemistry and Biology programmes for 7 years, and am aware of the ins and outs of the curriculum. If you're interested in assistance and support in writing Internal Assessments or Extended Essay for Chemistry and/or Biology, I can help you achieve top marks - all the students I helped received 7s. With the vast amount of resources, past papers and experience that I have accumulated, I'm looking forward to helping you achieve a 7 (or at least a 6!). Anyone can do it with the right guidance.
