For over 30 years I have been passionately teaching individual and group lessons to people of all levels. I am Gianni, a born and raised Florentine who has been living in Delft for quite some time. Florence, the birthplace of the Italian language, is also the city of Dante Alighieri, the founder of modern Italian. No, we are not related 😉, but just as Haarlem in the Netherlands is known for its ABN pronunciation, Florentine Italian is considered the standard language. I proudly convey this authentic Italian in my lessons. Professional experience I am currently a teacher of Italian at the Volksuniversiteit Delft, after having previously taught for four years at the Volksuniversiteit Rotterdam. In addition to my work as a teacher, I am also a professional singer of traditional Italian folk songs. I like to integrate this passion into my lessons, because music is a powerful tool for learning a language. Well-known lyrics and melodies not only make the learning process more fun, but also more effective. I often accompany my singing with guitar, which creates an authentic Italian atmosphere. Teaching method For beginners, I use an accessible textbook that explains the basics of Italian step by step. During the lessons, I immediately correct mistakes in sentences or pronunciation, so that you gain more confidence in speaking. My approach is practical and interactive: every mistake is an opportunity to learn something new, whether it is a word, a grammatical rule, an anecdote or a cultural context. In addition, we pay attention to Tuscan cuisine and culture, so that you not only learn the language, but also experience the rich Italian lifestyle. Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Sara and I have tutored a lot of students in my past, starting from when I was even just in high school! I believe I am a good teacher of math but am also exceptional at CV checks or helping with motivational essays and essay writing in general so would be happy to help in that area aswell. For my bachelors I pursued an aerospace engineering degree and am currently pursuing a masters in Cognitive Robotics. I am passionate about both learning and teaching because I have always believed education is the strongest tool. I am not somebody who understands things immediately so when I myself was learning in younger classes and in school, I always had a lot of questions and patiently worked through them. I think this kind of mentality is important when tutoring or mentoring somebody as opposed to criticizing mistakes. In my opinion, the more questions you ask, the better you understand! My teaching method usually includes introducing new theories and topics during our live sessions together and then assigning a few exercises or some homework for you to work on after the class on your own. In the next class, we will then go through your homework and clarify any questions you have. Again the aim is not that I am expecting a 100% on the homework (this could also be what your school gives you every week), but it's so we can work together on what you get stuck on!

Trusted teacher: Since graduating at the Conservatory of Rome, teaching as well as performing has been one of my passions! I have been teaching piano for more than 8 years to students of all levels and age. I have experience with children, adults and also with students with different learning abilities. My students were always encouraged to take a step further and navigate through the world of piano under my guidance. My lessons are generally from half hour (for young children) to 1/1,5 hours. Depending on the level of the student, the lesson will include solfeggio and notions of musical theory, technique exercises and study of piano repertoire. My experience lies in classical piano repertoire, including Classicism, Baroque, Romanticism and Early Modern. I try to vary the program of my lessons and to choose the repertoire with the students, based on their taste and inclination. My teaching method is very structured and reflects the methodology taught in Conservatories, Music Academies and Universities. It is aimed at creating a solid basis to prepare for exams and auditions as well as giving the instruments for independent study. This type of method is of course suited also for amateur pianists too, who just want to play in their spare time - it will give them the opportunity to check their practice and receive relevant advice. Aside from the technique, participation, passion and fun are also fundamental! I pace each lesson to the needs and the preparation of the students, listen to their requests and choose with them the right path to follow. All my students are always satisfied with the relaxed and inspiring atmosphere of our lessons!

Trusted teacher: I'm a native English speaker from the USA, living in Rotterdam. In my job as an engineer, I regularly help colleagues with their written and spoken English. I'm available to help you practice English on a regular basis on weeknights. I mainly work with students and professionals in technical fields who are interested in refining their English writing and speaking skills. I also speak fluent Dutch, as well as some Spanish and French, so I'm familiar with common English mistakes and understand what's causing them. Examples of lessons: - Reviewing written documents together, and identifying recurring errors (work emails, proposals, reports, etc.). - General conversation practice, and presentation practice. I will listen, take notes, and provide feedback on pronunciation and grammar, while we discuss various topics. - Practice speaking exercises in preparation for IELTS exams. - Assistance with job applications (reviewing English CVs and cover letters). I do not teach beginners courses in English, as I have a full-time job and this would require longer/more frequent lessons, and I do not have the training/background required to teach basic English.
