Fine Art can be a confusing, and often inaccessible subject. However, creating and engaging with art can also be empowering once you have the understanding of contemporary art practises. It is my intention to engage both children and adults in creative play, and discussion, to create exciting lessons. Lessons will often be tailored towards the individual's interests, linking them to relevant artists and artistic practises. A wide range of materials and processes will be explored in the lessons, including painting, drawing, sculpture and digital art, allowing students to find their strengths. As a Fine Art and History of Art graduate it truly is my passion to ignite, distill, and grow a person's interests in Art, Design and Art History. I have experience in creating and teaching lessons for students of all ages, from 4 years of age up to adults. I also have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students in the trickier aspects of a Fine Art qualification, where jumping through the hoops and tick the boxes that the exam boards require can often take the joy out of creating. My aim is to help students get the grade that truly reflects their engagement and enthusiasm for art, guiding them through the certain requirements that can often feel confusing or frustrating. Whatever level of understanding and ability the student may have, these lessons will be challenging, creative and rewarding.

I got my Putonghua teaching certificate at Hong Kong Chinese University and has been awarded the first-class grade in the National Putonghua Proficiency Test. I have been teaching Mandarin for over 15 years and have also worked as a Mandarin Chinese curriculum designer and instructor. My young students are mainly from ISF, CIS, VAS, GSIS, FIS, HKIS, AISHK, Kettett School, Hong Kong Academy, ESF, Hong Kong Japanese School. Besides the IB, I am familiar with IGCSE Chinese, as well as AP Chinese requirements. My adult courses are carried out in accordance with the HSK levels from Beginner onwards. I am using the good HSK framework, to help students progress milestone by milestone. I teach any degree of students, so even if you are a beginner, don't worry. In our first class, I will spend a little time asking about your needs, and what class you want to take, which allows me to find the right materials to make textbooks. I will design a course according to the needs of the students. Whether it is listening, speaking, or reading, I will make a textbook for you, so you can review it after class, which will make you progress quickly. If you have any questions during class or after class, please feel free to tell me. In the course of learning, I will use the example sentence instead of the explanation, so that you can clearly know the context in which the sentence can be used. You will have a textbook for each class, I will also give you homework after class if you want to practice more. You are also welcome to take a conversation with me. You can talk about any topic you are interested in, which will greatly enhance your conversational skills.

Since obtaining a BMus (Hons) Degree in 2012, Rhiannon has worked as a freelance violinist internationally with companies such as Burberry & Polydor Music, with orchestras by the likes of BBC concert Orchestra & Nu Civilisation Orchestra, at venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall & Ronnie Scotts, in studios including Elstree Studios & BBC Maida Vale Studios, and in festivals including the EFG London Jazz Festival, WOW Women of the World Festival & Crossing Borders Festival in the Netherlands. Rhiannon has experience playing a wide range of genres from working with award-winning artists including Jess Glynne (Pop), Anna-Jane Casey (Theatre), Anne-Sofie Von Otter (Opera), Isabella Melodies (Gospel) & Le Gateau Chocolat (Cabaret). She is the proud Youth Ambassador for the company Black Women In Arts, lead violinist of Tomorrow's Warrior's String Ting, lead violinist of the Nu Civilisation Orchestra, and leads the affiliate orchestra to Jazz Jamaica All-Stars. Rhiannon and is currently doing a Masters in Jazz Violin Performance at Guildhall School of Music. Rhiannon an experienced teacher currently teaching for Tri-Borough Music Hub. She spent 7 years teaching in two top preparatory schools in London, and also taught jazz and improvisation at the Southbank Centre for Tomorrow's Warriors to adults. She has given masterclasses at venues including the Southbank Centre and Rich Mix, and led multiple masterclasses as part of the Yehudi Menuhin Centenary Week in 2016. Rhiannon's teaching experience includes preparing children for exams and auditions - with some of her pupils having been awarded music scholarships to top independent schools in London, as well as places at Junior Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and The Centre for Young Musicians.
