I also try to model the problem, especially with three dimensional problems. Experience: I received a bachelor's in Physics from Northern Arizona University in 2019. As an experienced composer, producer and sound designer I specialize in applying my broad knowledge and experience in the field of music & technology. Most successful electronic musicians combine different skills, such as working with music production software and hardware, playing a keyboard, recording and mixing, but also music theory and composition techniques. Because as an electronic musician you often have to deal with different instruments & other sound sources, my lessons are also very suitable if you want to learn to design your own sounds, not only to make music, but also as sound effects for videos or games, for example. Just like in my own professional practice, I teach the different aspects of electronic music production: - sound design ('sound design'), both analogue and digital - synthesis - composition techniques - software for music production, so-called 'DAWs' such as Ableton Live - hardware, such as modular synthesizers and effect units - production: recording and mixing of audio - performance of electronic music It is also possible to learn more about (Western and non-Western) music theory and the history of (electronic) music. From my background as a sound designer for games & film, much of me can share knowledge and experience in this. In principle, my lessons are always adapted to the individual needs, knowledge and skills of the student. For the youngest, my approach is to introduce them to music and technology in a playful way. Trusted teacher: Hello! I'm Nina, a drummer from Amsterdam. I am currently studying pop/rock drums at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht. I play in 2 bands. I also play in many different session projects (from pop to rock). I work a lot with hybrid drums (triggers and SPD) and also teach them with Ableton. The studio is located in the Q-Factory in Amsterdam with two professional drum kits and sound system. In addition, I can occasionally offer a lesson in Utrecht! If all this is too far or for some other reason not reachable, lessons at home and / or online are also possible! We can work on, among other things: - Hand technique (how do I hold my sticks? Or which stick technique do I use for different music styles?) Creativity (how can I ultimately make cool parts on the drums myself? Or different parts than what you initially came up with?) - Improvisation (lots of playing and trying!) - Timing (playing along with songs, with click tracks, how can I become more playful with the click?) - Relaxed posture - Drum notation (learning to read drum notes) - New fills, grooves and beats - Sound (how do I tune my drums? which drum sound do I want for different types of music?) - Hybrid drums (working with samples on the SPD and/or triggers) in combination with Ableton And of course we will play along to your favorite songs a lot! During his studies, he trained with world-renowned artists such as Peter Bernstein, Pasquale Grasso, Jesse van Ruller, Dick Oatts, Mike LeDonne, Grant Stewart, Carl Allen and Bruce Barth, among others, gaining a deep understanding of jazz tradition while exploring a more contemporary approach to improvisation. His co-led project, The Dam Jawn, released its debut album Master St. (2023, Challenge Records), featuring jazz legend Dick Oatts. The album, nominated for the Edison Jazz Award 2024, was presented in Europe and India, including performances in Mumbai, Goa, and Bangalore. In July 2024, the group performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival with Jeremy Pelt as a special guest. Later that year, they released their second album, Forward! (2024, Cellar Live). Their third studio album, recently recorded with Jeremy Pelt, is set for release in the Fall 2025. Emanuele is a wonderful teacher. He's very friendly and accessible, not the "intimidating expert" type at all. He's very open and flexible in meeting students at the level they are, with no judgement at all, but with genuine interest and care, instead. He's very knowledgeable but also keeps the lesson light and fun. He's supportive and actively tries to help you improve, exploring your individual strengths and weaknesses with you, instead of sticking to any pre-conceived ideas. His comments never feel like he's correcting you, they always feel supportive. You can feel he loves what he's doing, and love and joy for piano-playing is the feeling you leave with after a lesson. Highly recommended.

Ed has been an excellent tutor for my 13 year old son. He is very knowledgeable in all Math topics and is able to explain Msthbconcepts in a clear straight forward way which makes it very easy for my son to understand the various Maths concepts. He is also able to explain things using different approaches. My don is very happy with the lessons and for the first time in a couple of years he feels confident in Maths! I will highly recommend Ed as a tutor!

I had a lot of difficulties understanding statistics and Barbara took me through the entire program both quickly and really efficiently. She was always available and flexible about the time for classes and she was very prepared and always willing to research specific topics further in order to find the most efficient way to explain things. Also she is a very warm and positive person. I really enjoyed working with her!
