Sabine - AmsterdamC$80
Trusted teacher: Hello, my name is Sabine! I'm a soprano, actor, and singing teacher educated in multiple styles. I hold a degree in Vocal Performance (Classical + Pop/rock) & Musicology, and finished my studies at Fontys AMPA (Opera). I have also trained as an actor (film & theatre) at the Mulholland Academy in Amsterdam. My lessons are entirely tailored to your personal wishes. We begin with a discussion about what you'd like to learn, and we work toward your own ideal voice and sound. We can choose classical, operatic, popular, or musical repertoire - or other styles that interest you. The focus is always on healthy, sustainable technique. You can also choose to work on different elements: we can focus only on singing technique, but also on performance or dramatic skills, song interpretation, audition preparation, your speaking voice, stage fright..all questions are welcome! Reasons to try out a lesson -You've always been curious about singing, but don't know where to start -You already sing for fun, but you want to take your voice to the next level -You want to prepare an audition (for conservatory, a role in a production, singing competition, choir, open mic..) -You suffer from stage fright or lack of confidence -You want to work on your theatrical skills -You're an actor who wants to improve their vocal technique -You want to strengthen your speaking voice -You're in a choir and want to improve your voice -You want to be able to sing convincingly in the English language (as a native speaker, I also offer English language and diction coaching for singing) -any other reason! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. All ages and experience levels are welcome :)

Trusted teacher: Hello there! I'm Dr. Pradeepika, a Gold medalist and enthusiastic educator with 6+ years of experience as an assistant professor. I have also undergone faculty development training and have extensive experience in school teaching and helping students of various age groups. My years of experience in school support have allowed me to develop a customized methodology that caters to the unique needs and profiles of each student. I offer support to those who are struggling to find a study approach that suits them. I'm an extrovert, always full of energy, and above all, I bring a lot of humor into my teaching! I firmly believe that everyone learns in their own way. That's why I don't follow a rigid method but instead adapt to the specificities of each student. I evaluate their current level, identify their strengths, weaknesses, and any areas where they may be falling behind, and then tailor my lessons accordingly. My priority is to restore the student's confidence because when things are well explained, everything becomes within their reach! I employ active teaching methods, striving to engage the students as much as possible, and help them discover what works best for them. This empowers them to continue their educational journey independently. Furthermore, I provide specialized assistance when it comes to preparing for challenging exams or tackling difficult subjects. I'm here to support your child every step of the way! My tuition rate includes comprehensive support, such as private lessons, the ability to ask questions outside of class time, assistance with question writing and correction, and much more. I firmly believe that students learn best in a positive and joyful environment. By incorporating engaging methods, I foster a supportive classroom atmosphere where learning becomes fun! It's crucial for students to feel happy and comfortable with me so they can develop the confidence to express themselves and share their ideas. Every student deserves to be challenged, regardless of their abilities. Together, we'll help them unlock their full potential! I strongly believe that building confidence is the key to success. The more confident students are, the better their chances of achieving great things! I'm eagerly looking forward to hearing from you! Vivianne - AmsterdamC$76
Trusted teacher: Hi! My name is Vivianne. I have been living in Amsterdam for two years now and I do love this city! I'm originally Dutch and I have lived in several countries (different places in The Netherlands, Hong Kong, Peru). That feeling of entering a new city is amazing; all those new people, places and beautiful spots but it can also make you a bit insecure about your decisions. Did you choose the right studies or job? You moved for love but what's next? What about new friends? You're not alone, many people around you experience the same. Next to my own experiences, I work as Dutch teacher (Dutch as a second language) and therefore know how 'newcomers' experience their new life. I want to help people feeling happier and content with their decisions. I have a background in (international) marketing, languages and intercultural communication and due to this combination I have a depth intercultural understanding. So, if you want to talk about... - Your life in The Netherlands (e.g. studies, job) - Your decisions (e.g. feelings, emotions regarding any subject) - Your future plans (e.g. staying in The Netherlands, moving) And want to feel... - More confident in your studies / job - Happier in your personal and social life - More integrated in the Dutch culture Without feeling a patient in need of an expensive psychologist/psychiatrist, feel free to contact me. We can have a short intake so you can tell me something about yourself and make a plan for further meetings. If you're interested in Dutch lessons as well we could, of course, customize the sessions.

My name is Anna, a violin teacher from Ukraine living in Amsterdam. Music is my profession, hobby, passion, life. I think music in itself is healing. It touches us, brings different emotions, it gives us energy, joy, power. It helps to understand each other without words. Lessons: Teaching is a part of my life. I have had a great experience in Ukraine where I learned different approaches and where I got my knowledge and experience I continue to work and share it here, in the Netherlands. I find it important that my students get their results through experiencing joy during the lessons. I think that the greatest thing about music is the joy of sharing, that’s why I am also trying to teach my students to be able to share their talent, to play around, collaborate with other students making small ensembles, or just making sometimes a simple house concert. What I am offering: - Different approach - Different styles - Individual program - Possibility to play in a small ensemble (duo, trio) - Theory knowledge It will be a pleasure to meet you! I think it is one of the most important things, to find a teacher you can trust, connect to, and be inspired from. I am sure, if violin means something special for you, you are bound to do great things with it and I can help you. I hope to meet you soon at the first lesson! About me: I finished Kiev Conservatory and graduated Master of music in Rotterdam conservatory from the class of Misha Furman. I participated in masterclasses with Marco Terlizzi, Päivyt Meller, Benjamin Schmid, Vesselin Paraschkevov, Magdalena Szczepanowska and studied privately with Benzion Shamir. I am actively involved in Dutch chamber music, orchestra performances, theater, and film music as well as teaching extensively.

Nick's approach is patient and thorough, informative and imaginative as well. He always comes up with his own examples in order to test my knowledge on a given exercise and helps me get to the answer at my own pace, rather than handing it to me. He doesn't use a one-size-fits-all method, but rather tailors his lesson in order to get out my full potential, even in a field I find difficult. He makes himself available for additional questions and is overall great to work with!
