As a former professional musician, I offer private piano lessons. My specialty lies in teaching jazz, blues and improvised music. However, I also work with classical music and all other styles, depending on the objectives of my students. My pedagogical approach is based on a natural method of learning music. We start with listening and playing, then gradually integrate the reading of notes, respecting everyone's rhythm. With this method, students are able to play from the first lesson. Part of the course is dedicated to group practice, with instruments such as piano, double bass and drums. Classes take place in our private room located at Porte d'Orléans. In addition to individual lessons, we offer ensemble lessons for interested students, as well as the possibility of participating in our choir. Do not hesitate to contact me to find out more. I can't wait to play music with you! Claudius

There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag. For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades. After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too. Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G. Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory. The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers. For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

I offer piano lessons according to the Russian classical method. We could always use your method or a Russian method from Nikolaeff that we could order. This method is gentle and progressive: we start playing with just one right hand and only in treble clef, small, simple melodies. And then we add the left hand still in the treble clef. And later we add the bass clef. This approach is recommended for beginners. For the intermediate level I adapt to you. I am very flexible and patient. Looking forward to meeting you at our next class. Olga
