Francisco - BerlinC$85
Trusted teacher: Hello! Alright, I'll break it down into parts. If you look for a more "narrowed description" just scroll down to where I made a list :) My name is Francisco, and I'm a guitar player from Argentina, currently living in Berlin. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and sharing the energy to grow musically with my students. I have taught music for 7 years in schools and privately at home. With private lessons, my aim is to adjust to the student's likes and abilities. I am attentive to the needs and the reasons why someone is wanting to play and learn music. And I try to encourage the curiosity and spirit of making music and not follow what is "considered" that you should learn. What to expect from the first lesson with me? To get to know each other. That way I see what you like and what you don't, what you already play, and your learning pace. Probably I can share with you something new already, and from there, we will build a "program" according to what you want your rhythm and time availability. I value singularity and I like to get to know who I teach, so that way I can help them better. It can be first chords and ways of learning new songs, improvisational tools, or pure harmony and theory stuff. Because everyone is different, for example, if you like Rock I will go in that direction and teach you the elements that make Rock sound like it does and I won't teach you Jazz Harmony, if you like Classical music we will go over the abilities that you have to have to execute this kind of music, the same goes for the styles that I play. My skills: I play and have played mainly Fingerstyle Guitar, Jazz, Argentine Tango, Jazz Manouche, Rock, Rockabilly, and Experimental. I have worked a lot playing Bossa Nova at some point. I don't like teaching something that I don't know. So for example, oriental music I couldn't teach. And if we come to a point where I am not helpful anymore, I will say so. What I do like is learning with students, it is often the case that your students teach you new ways of thinking about music and I find that super exciting! I was lucky to travel a bit of the world playing music with different projects and musicians that I admire, I always did this playing mainly Jazz music. I have played in bars and clubs and theaters in New York, Boston, Buenos Aires, and in different cities around Switzerland, Germany, France, Holland. I was also part of several orchestras (Jazz, Tango, and Rock) in Argentina and the US. I teach beginner - intermediate - advanced levels of different topics: - how to improve technique (right hand and left hand) - how to improvise (elements of improvisation, vocabulary, phrasing, etc.) - how to visualize the fretboard - how to learn songs by ear, and how to read music (or tab) - how harmony and music theory work - specific genres such as Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Bossa Nova, Tango, Rock, and Fingerstyle. The lessons can be also in German (basic, so you might need a bit of patience with me!), Spanish (that's my mother tongue), or English. They can be at my place (Wedding), all corona safe, or online via Zoom/Skype. Shoot me a message if you are interested! All the best, Francisco

Trusted teacher: What is the lesson content? -Amateur level: In this level, piano is played as a hobby. The repertoire is prepared together in line with the student's wishes and level. No specific piano book is required. Students are encouraged to compose their own music if they wish. In this way, they acquire the ability to write music on a lined notation paper. Sight reading practices, solfeggio training, basic music theory and terminology studies, discussions of music history are included lessons. -Professional level: This level generally includes preparing for piano competitions, the examinations and the certificate/diploma programs of music-oriented education institutions such as London College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, various of conservatories and music schools. The lessons mostly cover the playing of the pieces in the specific repertoire list determined by these music institutions. Ear training lessons are given for admission exams of instrument departments which aim to measure the 'musical ear'. This level is more focused on Western Classical Music. It includes harmony education and reviews of musicological articles. How long is the lesson? Lesson durations are adapted to age groups specifically by considering physical and mental developmental processes. *Durations can be rearranged according to the student's concentration regardless of age. Where is the lesson? The lessons are held either at the teacher's house in Kåbo or on Zoom with students who already have a piano background. *In exceptional and mandatory cases, some lessons can also be held at the student's house, if there is a piano. When is the lesson? A fixed day and time is determined jointly according to the weekly schedules of the student and the teacher. Which language are the lessons taught in? The lessons are given in English.

Trusted teacher: [ENGLISH BELOW] I am a Czech violinist, based in The Hague. I obtained a Master of Music degree in classical and modern violin at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with a grade of 10/10. Since then I have been working as a concert violinist, chamber musician (playing in small groups and ensembles) and as a freelancer in orchestras throughout the Netherlands. I am captain of the Doelen Ensemble in Rotterdam and a much sought-after collaboration partner for recording studios, dancers, composers of new and film music and theater makers. As a teacher I have experience in private education, special conservatory preparation and competition training, as well as as a guest teacher at the Brno Conservatory (Czech Republic). I play both classical acoustic violin and electric violin. In my classes I offer both traditional classical music training (technique and classical music pieces) based on my 20 years of work and study with leading teachers and violin virtuosos (the best of the Czech, American and Russian schools of technique), as well as lessons for those who only have enough want to learn to play and improvise with their favorite songs by their favorite singer. We will use the violin in all musical genres and base our curricula on your wishes, dreams and ambitions, always designing your tailor-made learning path together and adapting if necessary. I like to work with all ages, learning difficulties or various physical abilities; music is open to everyone and above all should be a fun way to connect with others and the world. ----------------------- I am a Czech violinist based in The Hague. Trusted teacher: Hi! My name is Matteo, I'm a professional bassist from Brussels, currently based in Amsterdam. I perform and have performed with renowned musicians and bands from many different scenes and styles, bringing me to venues all over the world (USA, UK, Germany, Denmark, France, Romania, Portugal, Spain...). I have a deep passion for music ever since I started playing 16 years ago, and would like to share it with you! Bass is the best! And I want to help you uncover it's full potential. I believe the best way to learn music is to study what you love, and always work from a place of curiosity and passion. Therefore, we will always look together for ways of making the process the most enjoyable and tackle different topics through the music YOU love. The classes are tailored to each individual student: we find the best workflow for you, and adapt the lessons. If you need structure and a clear program, I can provide that; but if you prefer to keep it loose and see as we go, it's all good. All that matters is your continued motivation and progress. Among other things, we can focus on: -Basic technique on the instrument -Learning songs of your choice, with a method that will allow you to learn songs by yourself later on. -Learn about different styles: Pop, Rock, Funk, Soul, Metal, Jazz... -Develop your understanding of music through the instrument (scales, arpeggios...) -Creativity, and improvisation through the use of the material we have studied together -Ear training and music theory -Rhythm, all the way from basic to very advanced -Basic compositional techniques, or fun ways to start composing I have been teaching privately for the past 6 years, with very happy students. I can also teach online if it's better, I also have regular online students with whom we are making great progress. For the lesson, there is no need to bring an instrument: I can lend you one. Looking forward to meeting you!
