Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Matei, I am 20 years old, I have been studying guitar for over a decade and I have 5 years of experience in the teaching domain. I am currently studying jazz at the Vienna Music Institute (Conservatory of Contemporary Music). I have studied classical guitar for 5 years, electric guitar for another 5 years, and jazz guitar for a year and a half. I can teach you music theory concepts ranging from fundamentals like chords, intervals, scales, and arpeggios to the more advanced: circle of fifths, modes, tensions, and triads. Regarding the technical aspect of guitar playing, I can create a good practice routine for the improvement of different styles of playing such as alternate picking, fingerpicking, legato, taping, hybrid picking, economy picking, etc. Although these concepts may sound frightening at first, I can help you understand them more easily. The lessons are thought to be suitable for beginners who never picked up a guitar before, intermediate players who know some songs and fundamentals but don't know what to do next, and advanced players who want to deepen their skills. I can also help you build a good foundation for improvising over any tune you like, help you master composition, and teach you music-making and recording programs such as Reaper, to be able to start your solo projects. I will provide my personal insights regarding what I think you should improve, but I can also just help you learn something specific like a song you want to play.

Trusted teacher: Graduated in composition and Orchestration and in the art of theater and directing, having a Master in Musical Theater at the Sorbonne University Paris and a doctorate of advanced research in the art of singing and musical interpretation , I propose singing and interpretation lessons, based on the understanding and implementation of the Belt technique (breathing, voice placement, flexibility of diaphragmal pressure, diction) and a practical application of the theatrical method from Stanislavski for a thorough understanding and discovery of the theatrical interpretation of songs. The course consists of two or three parts: 1. A warm-up with various exercises, with the aim of widening the range, developing the breathing and understanding the mechanism of the phonator device. 2. Practical work on a song with eclectic choice. 3. A part of learning music theory and reading of score, if necessary. I work with you, putting a lot of emphasis on discovering or developing your voice at your own pace. I can also propose: 2. Music interpretation course (we work on the game and the construction of a character, the emotion of the song, the nuances) 3. Theater course (Actor's Studio method) - (we work on the body expression, the scenic presence, the connection between thought and action on stage), 4. Course of musical theory and solfege (the bases of the musical theory to be able to read and follow a partition), 5. Preparation course for castings and auditions (work on psychological preparation, stress management, choice of pieces and cutting, etc.). The price quoted is per course

Trusted teacher: As a violin teacher, my goal is to create a positive learning environment while cultivating the student’s love for music. I believe in developing music-reading as well as ear-training skills in my student’s music education. I work hard to tailor each lesson to meet the individual student’s musical goals, level and learning style. I have experience teaching students from age 3 to adult and from absolute beginner to college-level students. As a conservatory trained violinist, I teach a solid foundation in violin technique, theory and repertoire. I currently maintain a private violin studio in Yokohama and one in my home in Kawasaki. I can teach in both English and Japanese. Learning to play the violin is a lifelong process. Music can lead us to new opportunities, meet interesting people and travel to unique places. Everyone can learn to play the violin. It is never too late to start! I look forward to being a part of you or your child’s musical journey. Maria is a very good teacher. I am an intermediate level student, so I was looking for someone who can give me nuanced feedback. Maria is really good at doing this, and helps with the tone and style of playing by leveraging her knowledge of violin, but also history of music, and the different styles. She pays a lot of attention in promoting dynamism and color when playing, so you get to make music instead of mechanically going through the score. She is very friendly and easy to communicate. I recommend her.

First lesson went of quite well considering that I'm a novice, but with help from Nuno who is a very patient and pleasant guy i do feel a bit more confident. He explains it in a simple format giving you the time to understand what you are actually trying to play. I look forward to my next session
