First, as a Math Teacher, my main aim is to encourage students to analyze the problem carefully and find different solutions for one question. This method helps students to choose the easiest way of solution for her/him during the exam and finish it in time. I teach students both ways how to solve questions without a calculator with math tricks, and how to use a calculator more effectively. As you know in the exam there might be non-calculator and calculator papers. Moreover, this ability helps students not only to understand the math subject deeply but also will be very helpful during their adult life. As a Math High-Level and Standard-Level (AA, AI) teacher in IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) the part of my teaching also consisted of supervising students’ research projects. Previous research experience in the frame of UNDP (UN Development Program) by that time was very valuable. Being an IB Math Examiner helped me to see the clear picture of students' mistakes done during the solutions. So, I teach students how to show their solutions to get more marks on the exam. Working with British School during this hard time of COVID taught me to be prepared for any challenges, to make decisions in a very short time, to be ready for any daily but very important changes. Teaching online became more interesting by using such helpful math tools as Desmos, GeoGebra, TI 84 Calculator Online, etc. Having teaching experience (Math and Statistics) in one of the top universities of the US (UW-Madison) helped me clearly to see the path of a student from the school bench to the university auditorium. Only by working in both school and university, you can understand what is better to learn for a student to be helpful in the future university years. Years of hands-on work experience and a keen interest in Math teaching as a profession, excellent Math and Statistical skills, a deep understanding of IB Global mission, being curious to learn the new curriculum (IGCSE, A-Level), and clearly seeing the connection between the school and university Math have prepared me well to see strengths and weaknesses of the student and how to use that strong side of a student to improve the gaps that student earned in her/his earlier years. Trusted teacher: I am a physical Natural Sciences student at Cambridge looking to share my love of science with intellectually curious students. I seek to make science fun and accessible for my students. Having achieved outstanding results at GCSE (12 grade 9s) and A-level (4A* 1A), I know what it takes to prepare for public exams and I want to help my students to get a headstart with their preparation. I teach maths, chemsitry and physics to students of all ability levels. My lessons are individually tailored but follow the general strucutre below: GCSE/IGCSE: Lessons are primarily content/revision focused. Homework follows closely the content of the lessons and I provide further reivision resources and notes after each lesson. A-level and University preparation: I assign problem sets for homework due 5pm the night before a lesson. My lessons in physics and chemistry focus on making the content intuitive, so students are understanding rather than memorising. Similarly, maths lessons are taught always from first principles to help students to understand the origins of the techniques we use. The beginning of each lesson is for review of questions from the problem set. These problem sets contain questions from the relevant exam board as well as extension questions to encourage students to think in more depth about the topics we cover. Homework is always marked in advance of the upcoming lesson. Every few weeks I ask my students to sit a test tailored to their examboard so that we can track the progress we are making. This class is intended to deliver academic results, whilst ensuring students enjoy my lessons.

I try to explain the content of the theory and its applications whenever possible, demonstrating the relationship between this content and the human needs that have led to its historical development. I try to help students successfully solve problems related to the theories by guiding them step by step through the solution (to promote their competence, autonomy, and confidence in problem-solving), by asking questions, and, when necessary, by providing further examples and explanations that can lead to a deeper understanding. In my classes, there is no criticism or pressure, there's no room for fear of making mistakes (mistakes are part of our learning process). The atmosphere is joyful and healthy, which encourages students to be themselves and feel free to learn, explore, and ask questions in peace and joy. My role as a teacher is to provide conditions and resources that better enable me to help students develop themselves and their potential to the fullest.

I ordered a lesson from Leila for my daughter. She needed help with Calculus. Leila is really professional in Math and pedagogy. She carefully researched needs of my daughter and prepared a worksheet based on her gaps and progress. This is really professional approach. Khatchik has a fantastic approach, to the point, no-nosense, and at the same time making the lesson enjoyable.
