Over the past two decades, I have implemented proven methodological approaches, some of which are borrowed from theater techniques, such as the Davis method (mind mappings/colors), and my specialty, professional coaching, which aims to enhance your child's motivation. My main goal is to foster agility in your child across all subjects, not only for the present but also for their future when I will no longer be by their side. Ultimately, my objective goes beyond simply focusing on gaining points in a subject. I firmly believe in this approach due to my experience as a Mental Coach working with young athletes between Nice and Cannes, as well as throughout Europe via video conferencing, as part of their preparation for the French Tennis Championships. It has reinforced my conviction that working on a subject should be a nurtured objective that encompasses personal growth and development. Additionally, I have been teaching Maths at the International School of The Hague since 2019. In 2022, I established my tutoring academy (Thehaguemaths), where I provide both group classes and personalized 1-on-1 lessons. Throughout my academic journey, I have devoted a significant amount of time to assisting fellow students and children (up to Graduate level) in mastering both basic and advanced mathematics as well as physics. My tutoring experience includes working with students from the International School of The Hague and the British school, covering various curricula like IB, EB, British (GCSE, O-level, A-level). My educational background consists of a BSc degree in double Maths and Physics, and I hold an MSc in Mathematics with an impressive CGPA of 3.91 out of 4.0. Following my studies, I briefly ran a tutoring academy before relocating to The Netherlands. In my teaching approach, I don't follow standard programs or lessons. Instead, I tailor each lesson to cater to the individual needs and interests of my students. If necessary, I provide exercises for practice at home and offer supplementary notes related to the lesson. My main focus is to instill confidence in my students, showing them that they are capable of solving problems and making the learning process enjoyable and engaging. After many months of lessons I can say that Sobia has excellent experience in teaching & tutoring and above all has a human approach to tutoring my daughter which I think is very important. She understands that the tutoring is as much about rebuilding my daughter’s confidence, as it is about teaching her how to do math. She is also punctual, capable and reliable. And the proof of the pudding is in the eating, my daughter’s Math scores have significantly improved over the months, she is now much more comfortable with the subject and able do the work, no more panic and tears!! These things take time, it’s not overnight, but Sobia was there for my daughter and made it happen. We are so grateful!!

Corinne is helping my daughter to prepare for her oral exam for the European Baccalaureate (French as a second language). She is very professional, well organized and very kind! She is also very flexible, as we had to postpone and reschedule a couple of times. But most importantly, my daughter says that she can see Corinne’s passion for language and text, so that makes the tutoring more fun. Corinne also takes notes during the lessons and sends them to my daughter afterwards: great! PS: my daughter received now a 10/10 for her final French oral exam!
