I have a degree in Philosophy with a master's degree in teacher training and I give reinforcement and preparation classes to the EBAU in the subjects of Philosophy, History, Languages (Spanish and English). The classes adhere to the maximum to the demands of the academic program. We will try to clarify doubts, to read and understand philosophical texts, learn to develop suitable essays for all subjects, explain grammar in an easier way and above all, face an exam in the best way! I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. This course will explore the history and origins of Creole communities around the world. Students will analyze these communities through the lens of identity, music, and food to better understand the unique blend of African, European, Indigenous, and sometimes Asian cultures, that formed a novel, “creole” society. While special focus will be given to French Creole communities, students will also become acquainted with a broader definition of Creole that can be applied to Hispanic, Anglophone Caribbean, and Dutch Caribbean territories. At the end of this course, students will confidently recognize Creole communities worldwide and will be able to explain the history of creolization. Required Texts: 1. I adapt to the profile of each intern or student according to their objective and level. The goal is not to work endless hours, but to show how to be able to work alone or partially independently in a short time. Everyone who engages with politics (which is to say, everyone) has an ideology. But not everyone is conscious of- let alone consistent in their ideology. In fact, most people’s conscious politics are nothing more than an inconsistent aesthetic. But anyone who has a world they long to see owes it to themselves to at least be self aware of their own ideology, and they should probably also familiarize themselves with others as well. I can help on both fronts. This 10-session class serves as an introduction to the concept of political ideology. We will begin with a brief overview to various major academic theories of ideology, before moving on to a taxonomical survey of different ideological genuses and families, both “thick-centered” ideologies, that is, ideologies with a comprehensive core specific enough that they can stand on their own as it were, such as liberalism, conservatism, socialism, and fascism, and “thin centered” ideologies, which have much broader and hence much less specific cores, and hence must attach themselves to other thick centered host ideologies in order to fully manifest themselves, such as populism, nationalism, feminism, and ecologism.

This course introduces secondary and sixth-form students to the evolution of global civilizations, with a focus on comparative history, political thought, and social transformation. Drawing on 30+ years of experience teaching History and Liberal Studies in Hong Kong—including at A-Level and university level—I guide students through themes such as colonialism, revolutions, global conflicts, and modern political ideologies. Each lesson combines primary source analysis, critical discussion, and structured writing skills (essays, arguments, and document-based questions). This class offers personalized instruction in philosophical and/or sociological theory, suited both for students seeking academic support and for individuals with a general interest in a philosophical topic. Sessions are designed according to the student’s goals, whether it’s clarifying course material, preparing written assignments, or exploring theoretical texts independently. I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Philosophy. My areas of specialization include ancient philosophy, early modern philosophy, and phenomenology. I also hold a background in sociology, which allows me to offer interdisciplinary approaches to social theory and critical thought. Sessions can be focused on specific authors or movements (e.g. Plato, Spinoza, feminist theory), or organized thematically around concepts such as love, beauty, perception, or subjectivity. Assisting with structure, referencing, possible sources to include, and checking spelling and grammar I'm currently undertaking a PhD in Global Environmental Politics at the University of Lincoln (UK) but based in Amsterdam. I have previously completed an MSc in Environmental Policy at the London School of Economics (LSE, UK) and a BA in Philosophy at the University of Bristol (UK). I have extensive experience teaching Bachelors students on Politics and International Relations modules, including running workshops on essay writing, setting and marking essays, and providing constructive feedback for improved essay writing. Beginning with the agricultural revolution, and then the industrial revolution, and then the World Wars, investigate what led up to the Cold War. Investigate the irony of thw historical streams colliding into one with the irony of many newly liberated countries being sucked into the global battle being waged in the north. A look at a dozen of so case examples, to include Korea, Guatemala, Iran, Cuba, Chile, the Congo, Indonesia, Vietnam, Chile, Nicaragua, and Honduras, of the consequences of the Cold War. A look at modern events from Iran, the migration crisis, Cuba, Venezuela, Russian and Ukraine through the lens of the Cold War never having ended.

I am a history teacher, having graduated with honors from UNLu and honored by the National Academy of History as the highest national average. I have been focused on private education for over half a decade, both at the academic and secondary levels. Beyond my specific academic training, I have been dedicated to the study of history and social sciences for 20 years (and to the creation of a library—of almost 2,000 volumes—that is available to students: if any material is required, it is digitized and sent). I specialize in ancient history, medieval history, Argentine history, history of religions, and more. I have extensive knowledge of philosophy, theology, and the history of ideas. I also teach classes in politics, sociology, anthropology, art history, economics, and other social sciences that make up the corpus of history as a discipline.
