Trusted teacher: There is just one important rule in my classes: "Don't be afraid to make mistakes!" I like to create a relaxed learning enviroment in which students can learn according to their individual learning pace, style and, more importantly, interests. My lessons are based on a communicative approach and are mainly focused on keeping up motivation through interesting learning material and tailored learning program. More in detail, my lessons are suited to: - Workers who need to improve language skills (in this case, according to the specific student's needs, the program could be focused on integrating work-related vocabulary and/or business etiquette); - Students who need guide and support in passing exams (University or JLPT from N5 to N2) or simply in mastering unclear grammar rules; - Learners and beginners who simply need to start their learning journey for personal interest, travel, etc. (also in this case, the teaching program will be focused on integrating useful vocabulary and expressions to better suit the student's needs and interests) . ABOUT ME: After earning a B.A. degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from Alma Mater University in Bologna and a M.A. degree from Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, I have been enthusiastically teaching and tutoring Japanese and English language while working in international offices. I have been teaching for more than 5 years now, and I have received great satisfaction from helping several students with very different learning methods in accomplishing their language goals. Please, don't hesitate to contact me explaining why you are studying Japanese and what your interests and goals are. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Japanese
Trusted teacher: Graduated with a bachelor's degree in Japanese, I offer an apprenticeship that will allow you to quickly acquire solid foundations and speak fluent Japanese and useful in everyday life. Having studied Japanese myself in high school and university using classical methods, I realized once in Japan that the language I had learned was sometimes far from the reality of that used in the everyday life! So I created my own course materials myself to teach my students more natural Japanese. The lessons are written by me and I use various supports for the exercises. I can of course adapt my lessons according to your level, beginner or more advanced, and to your needs and objectives, whether academic, professional or personal. For example, I can help you with a trip, a professional project, an exam (bac or partial) or a JLPT type competition. My journey: After a literary baccalaureate with Japanese option and a month-long language internship in Kyoto, I obtained a Japanese LLCER license with honors at Paris 7 Diderot University. I studied the language but also the culture, literature and Japanese history. During my studies I gave support courses to undergraduate students, as well as beginner level courses. I then spent 6 months at the University of Ochanomizu in Tokyo, where I had the opportunity to give French lessons to Japanese students. I took the JLPT N2 in 2019, which corresponds to a C1 level. I am flexible and available at times that suit you, lessons can be done at my home or yours according to your preference. I offer a reduced rate for group lessons. Feel free to contact me for more information!

Japanese
Trusted teacher: Are you interested in learning basic Japanese? Survival Japanese skills make you easy to explore Japan. Let's enjoy your special moments in Japan as much as possible communicating with local people!🤗🤗 I have been teaching Japanese for 10 years in all over the world. I know your needs, and we can reach your goal as fast as possible!! My students sometimes describe me as a patient teacher. But it's not technically true. I am just aware that impatience doesn't help my student study😊 [Teaching experience] I majored Japanese Education for foreign learners in Kyoto University of foreign studies. My teaching experience started from an internship in an University in the Netherland. After my graduation, I taught Japanese at a language school in Vietnam and in an University in Costa Rica as a professor. Lately I was a Japanese instructor for the U.S. Navy in Japan. As you see, I like to travel and to meet new people from all over the world. That's why I love my job!!🤗 I would love to know your country through this opportunity! [Lesson type] These are the lesson types I can provide. You don't need to choose one at this moment, and we can combinate them as needed. A: Textbook based A lesson based on a textbook. You can preview/review at your own pace. We will focus on oral practices, checking pronunciation and applying the grammar points into a real life situation (advanced practice). ☆Managing your schedules by google spread sheet is also available. If you want me to assign what to do weekly, please take advantage of it🤩 Of course it will be customized only for you. It would be useful and efficient for your rocket study. This is optional, so if you are not willing to use this system, there is no problem!! B: Open conversation We can talk naturally and find a topic / new grammar / new vocabulary in a lesson. You can also bring a topic to talk / discuss about. C: Special lesson A lesson based on a specific topic you want to work on. For example, to prepare your presentation in Japanese, to write your CV/resume in Japanese or intensive listening / writing / Kanji practice etc. [About Textbooks] I will ask your goals of the study before the trial lesson. During the trial lesson we can discuss the best way to get to your goals. Beforehand you can refer to my basic ideas about the textbooks. A. You have your own textbook(s) I am familiar with many textbooks. If you have your own textbook already and if you are willing to use it, let's use it. B. You don't have textbooks and you are going to buy some new one for your study I recommend Japanese for Busy People (4th edition) for the most of English speakers. You can choose Kana (Japanese alphabet) version if learning Japanese alphabets is included in your study goals. You can choose Romanized version if you want to focus on speaking or conversations. C. You are not thinking of using a book at this moment. You want to know basic phrases for your upcoming/future travel to Japan I coordinate the class using my original materials. My expert is "Survival Japanese". I know all of the essential expressions to survive in Japan ;) After finishing these basic sentences, we can talk about another material for the upcoming lessons. D. You are not thinking of using a book at this moment. You have something you want to talk or practice Of course we can do conversational class as well. I have had many students with this style. We can talk about many topics or what you want to practice more. For example, one student has been practicing a martial arts, his goals is to deepen the idea of the martial arts and prepare the next visit to Japan. We talk about the history or culture behind with some phrases in Japanese. Another example is with an advanced student who was looking for some effective practice for improving his listening skill. With several tries and small changes, we have managed the class successfully to suit his purpose. Just I want you to know that we can coordinate our class as you want and we can change the plan if needed. I am super supportive to your success, let's do it together!🥰 If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me anything! I am so excited to see you soon😍🔅

みなさんこんにちは、As a Japanese's student, if I have to choose an adjective to describe Sara Sensei would be やさしい for sure, the lesson's environment is fantastic. As a professional tourist guide, I have learned that been taught by someone who has experimented the same struggles with learning like you, Is sometimes better than picking a native teacher. That is why Sara Sensei is a perfect match for me. She also gets the experience of living, studying and working in Japan as a westerner. By the way, her English is impeccable. I am going to keep booking her for my N2's preparation, she is completely worth it.

My lesson with Paolo was super comfortable and well structured. He made sure to understand my level, my goals and adjusted his teaching accordingly. I learned a lot, especially because he introduced me to new language learning techniques as well, that I hadn’t expected would work as well for me as they did. It was definitely one of the best lessons I’ve had so far and I plan to continue with Paolo as well~

I was very impressed by how well Taimu had prepared the lesson - I haven't seen a similarly well prepared (language) teacher in my experience. The entire time I could notice that she had given a lot of attention to details while at the same time keeping the atmosphere light by interweaving anecdotes with the study material. I would highly recommend Taimu.
