Trusted teacher: ○ I teach and interpret English full time. It is not a hobby, but rather the professional continuation of my Bachelor and Master degrees ○ ✦ Guarantee of success, no student involved has ever failed, I make it a real personal matter ✦ Effective and pragmatic teaching technique Good news: I believe that studying a language is not limited to long lists of vocabulary. My classes take place in a relaxed and caring atmosphere, I am not in favor of the strict framework of some schools In class, we combine learning grammar (a crucial and comforting foundation for beginners) with numerous practical exercises and role-playing exercises so that the student can manage on their own in the real world. Above all, I transform language into a kind of game/code that must be deciphered. It is then enough to "grasp" the logic... It is "enough" of course - but that is my job - I will take care of it! I have a myriad of paper materials but I prefer PowerPoints and other fun, interactive tools projected on my TV/computer screen when the course is online. ➤ 2 theory syllabuses; 1 exercise syllabus provided free of charge with our courses ✦ We are a team, get involved; write to me outside of class ✦ ■ I don't forget the parents (how to manage a student who is failing/having academic difficulties, how to help them in a practical way, reports of our lessons) ■ My courses are tax deductible, I can provide invoices I like to differentiate myself from those distant teachers who don't make you want to learn. Maybe our lessons will be the highlight of your day?

Trusted teacher: I offer you my services in order to make you truly effective orally / in writing in English. If you have to use English for your professional activity and you don't feel comfortable. If you are tired of being spotted right away as the French. If you still don't know when to use the present perfect / preterite, I'm here to help and take you forward. * Linguist by training and author of school textbook in this capacity. I am not that young student who got a good mark in the Baccalaureate or that other who is supposedly bilingual. I have been teaching as a teacher in the National Education since 1995 and I can tell you that teaching cannot be improvised. It is not an activity that we do "like that". I offer you my expertise and my experience. To have 10/20 in the Baccalaureate, it is enough to have the A2 level (which is theoretically expected at the end of 3rd year) so I let you imagine the desperation of future engineers who must obtain at least 750 in the TOEIC! (the equivalent of level B2) * Daily monitoring possible via internet. * Specialized in "phonology": intonation, word accent, connections, oral grammar. * Adaptation to all levels: from college to post-Bac including high school. => Post-bac: preparation for TOEIC, TOEFL, iELTS, Cambridge First-Certificate, Advanced Certificate. => CPGE: translation, essay, "fluency". => Enunciative Linguistics (CAPES) - Didactics of English. => Orals and writings of the grandes écoles such as the ENA. => Orals and writings from business schools (Tremplin-Passerelle ...). => English for medical interns.

Trusted teacher: Teacher for 20 years, holder of a master's degree in English, having lived in an English-speaking country for 5 years, I give, at the learner's choice, general English lessons, reverse pedagogy lessons (see explanations below ) or English conversation lessons. I am indeed keen to offer the learner a course that meets their expectations and needs as best as possible. Because it is not easy to dare to express yourself in a foreign language, I like to work in a caring atmosphere, without judgment, sometimes speaking French when it reassures the learner. Keep in mind that the most important thing is practicing oral comprehension/expression. An hour of conversation lessons allows you to practice the language orally for an hour, with only brief corrections of your errors and a quick reminder of the vocabulary/grammar you are missing. If you wish to go more in-depth into grammar, vocabulary and written comprehension, it is advisable to favor courses lasting 1h30 to 2h to reserve a minimum of 1h for practicing expression and oral comprehension. You then have two options: 1. In a one-hour general English course, allow 15 minutes of grammar, 15 minutes of written comprehension and vocabulary, 15 minutes of oral expression and 15 minutes of listening comprehension. So plan on a two-hour course if you want to have a minimum of 1 hour of oral expression/comprehension (30 minutes of each). 2. If you want to opt for a more economical solution, you can also count on a 1h30 course and follow a reverse teaching course. You will then have one hour of lessons in the presence of the teacher during which you will concentrate solely on practice (conversation and oral comprehension). You will also have around an hour of work at home which will be more focused on theory (grammar, vocabulary, written expression and written comprehension). This is a self-paced course and you have an answer key to help you spot any errors. It is of course appropriate to ask your questions about time in the presence of the teacher, but these are more questions of a practical nature because they are then guided by your individual difficulties. It is the complete opposite of a traditional course where the theory is seen in class (in the form of general explanations by the teacher, which are the same for all learners) and the practice is worked on at home (although often in the form of application exercises, without always having the possibility of benefiting from answers to one's questions because the time devoted to theory allows little to answer the learners' questions): this is why we speak of inverted pedagogy. A reverse pedagogy course requires more preparation time and you will therefore be charged thirty minutes of preparation time for the independent course. Only courses in flipped teaching are accompanied by work to be done at home.

Nana is an excellent and fun teacher. I can really recommend her to anybody who wants to improve their French. I wanted to gain confidence in speaking French, so we chose the format of going for walks in different parts of Brussels. This way we had conversations whilst also exploring the city beyond the well-trodden paths. Nana is a perfect match if you want to leave the expat bubble and meet some real Belgians. But she is also fluent in English and has teaching experience abroad. If I couldn’t think of a word in French I would just use the English one and she would translate. As the weather gets colder, we will have to adapt our method, but I’m sure that will work out. I am looking forward to my next lesson with Nana.

★★★★★ Carol is an amazing French teacher—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly experienced. Before starting lessons, I was quite nervous because it’s always challenging to find the right tutor, and you're constantly worried about choosing the wrong one. I approached the whole process cautiously, but Carol quickly put all my worries at ease. From our very first conversation, I knew I'd made the right decision. Her communication is fantastic; she's extremely responsive and thoughtful with her follow-up. She immediately understood my learning goals and adapted the lessons to exactly what I needed. Overall, this has been a fantastic experience—I highly recommend Carol to anyone seeking a top-notch French tutor!

I am delighted to have Elena as French tutor for my 2 daughters. They recently started French (S2 and P5 in the European School) never having done it before and with the expectation in school.that they reach a high standard very quickly. Elena is not only an excellent teacher but she is also very encouraging and patient and makes the lessons enjoyable. With Elena's help, my daughters are finally enjoying learning French ! I've received feedback from their teachers that their participation in class and their motivation to learn has improved - and this is after only 1 week ! . Thanks Elena :)
