Trusted teacher: English and Dutch in particular and languages in general are my passion and I am passionate to inspire others to improve their language skills. I am currently teaching English at a secondary school in Eindhoven. I have got the NT2 diploma and I can teach Dutch to expats and foreigners. I come from Vietnam and I would like also to teach Vietnamese to people who want to learn and to know more about Vietnamese language and culture. Some quotes that I like: "Do you know what a foreign accent is? It’s a sign of bravery." – Amy Chua" 'A different language is a different vision of life." – Federico Fellini "Learn everything you can, anytime you can, from anyone you can; there will always come a time when you will be grateful you did." – Sarah Caldwell Qualities that I would like to see in my students: commitment and practice. - Learning a language is like learning a musical instrument. “Commitment is way more important than natural talent" - Learning a language is like running a marathon. “You don’t wake up one day and think: ‘Dude, I’m totally going to run the marathon of Los Angeles today.’ No, running a marathon or any significant distance requires practice and a healthy lifestyle.” My qualifications: - Pre-master of English language and culture, Radboud University, Nijmegen - Master of English Teaching at University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi - Master of Development Studies, University of Melbourne, Australia - NT2 (Dutch as a second languag programme II) diploma My work experience - English lessons to secondary students in the Netherlands for 2 years - English lessons to individuals and classes for about 10 years - English-Vietnamese translation and interpretation for different INGOs for 7 years Engels en Nederlands in het bijzonder en talen in het algemeen zijn mijn passie en ik inspireer graag anderen om hun taalvaardigheden te verbeteren.

Trusted teacher: Please bare in mind that my availability varies according to the slots reserved by the students. I started my career as an English language teacher in 2008 and soon became very passionate about language learning and teaching. This culminated in a Masters degree in second-language acquisition and a CELTA Certificate from Dundee College. I specialised in Trinity and Cambridge exams and also in conversational English for practical and everyday use. After many years overseas, both teaching and examining English, I have returned to Spain and am available to share my extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of English. I currently work as an Aviation teacher in a school in Alicante where I have taught for some years. My teaching approach is student-centred and communicative, where learning is a positive experience in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. All my students are encouraged to speak as much as possible to increase fluency. Professionalism, patience and a good sense of humour guaranteed! All lesson materials are provided free of charge. I teach using a mixture of coursebook material , whiteboard presentations, listening activities, video clips and general speaking practice. While my classes are 100% in English, I can also speak Spanish and some Italian words. This gives me a real insight as to why students make certain mistakes, and how to best avoid them. I really enjoy teaching and helping people improve and grow in confidence. We all learn at different paces and in different ways. My job is to give you the tools to learn and enjoy the process. Are you ready?

Trusted teacher: I am an Italian native speaker and I am fluent in English, having lived a decade in a few different places in the UK. Furthermore I speak Spanish to a beginner-to-intermediate level. I’ve got two passions in life: music and cultures and they both relate to languages. Music is known to be a universal language and different cultures connect with, and influence each other, through the use of spoken language. My formal education lays in music, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, and a five-year diploma as a Jazz bass player from the Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado in Milan. I’ve been teaching music for fifteen years and during the last one I've decided to expand over to languages, by taking up the challenge to combine my passion for teaching with the love for languages. I’ve developed the latter during my many years abroad, where I shared my everyday life with people from all over te world. My method is essentially based on grammar and conversation, alternating the two based on the student’s level of fluency. Once the basics are mastered I focus on conversation, especially providing thorough explanation about typical words and expressions and their various acceptations within different contexts. At times I may also add the odd etymology side note when relevant. I also like to use readings upon subjects that are of the student’s interest, as this aids in nurturing their motivation. Given the transformative and fluid nature of speech, my aim is to deliver an organic learning experience, able to be put to fruition from the start and in everyday life, but that also won’t fail to address the differences between formal and informal interactions. Hence, avoiding inhibit a swift communication in favour of grammatical accuracy. A second level of my teaching focuses on expanding the student's writing skills and this is aimed to individuals who may have achieved a solid grasp of the basis and a wider knowledge on vocabulary. This is because writing is an art on its own and its objective is to convey one's true thoughts and feelings, therefore it requires a dedicated effort. I can teach in English, Italian and Spanish and lessons can be either in person at your place or mine, or via Zoom. Get in touch for more information!

Florie is a delight to talk to! I am taking a French conversation class with her at the moment--I am a level B1-B2. She is sincere, thoughtful, funny and "sympa", and above all, she is great at conversation. She can adapt to your personal interests and will swerve the conversation in a way that allows you to talk as much as you can without tiring you. When you run out of things to say, she'll come up with topics and questions to keep the conversation going. Definitely recommend her!

Veghar is the best teacher I could have ever wished for! She adapts her lessons completely to your wishes. She is punctual and she always keeps her promises. She can explain very well and also has a lot of material that you can practice with. But perhaps most importantly, Veghar is a very likeable woman! The lessons are not only very educational but also very enjoyable: thanks to Veghar, learning English is not work, but a fun hobby!

Maria is an excellent teacher who can adapt her teaching style according to her student. My daughter and I both had lessons with her and we both found the lessons both enjoyable and challenging. We both feel we made progress. My daughter has had several tutors over the years and thinks Maria is, for her, perfect. She makes the lessons fun while having a structure and aim for each lesson so progress is always made.
