Trusted teacher: ¡Hola a todos! My name is Silvia and I have a degree in Translation and Interpreting, and some certificates in foreign language teaching. I have been working as a Spanish teacher for more than ten years, and I have dealt with a lot of different nationalities, so I have a wide teaching background. In my experience, all learners are different. While some will prefer to focus on grammar, others will have a preference for spontaneous conversation and some others will want to combine both skills. Reality is, even if a combination of methods proves more complete, what is truly necessary is to know how each student learns best and tailor their classes, so that they adapt better to the students. That is why my classes will always vary depending on the students' needs and motivations. First, I will give you a placement test, so that I will have a more precise idea of your level and then, I will have you complete some questions as to what goals you have in mind. Then, depending on your goals and time allocated to study, I will design a specific plan for you. This plan aims to serve as guideline, but there will always be some flexibility. Don't panic! In my classes, you will not only learn grammar but vocabulary and, most importantly, cultural behaviour, which is a key factor in understanding and communicating. I like to use real language in class, so don't be surprised if I send you articles or videos about current issues to discuss. This vocabulary might not appear in text books, but will be used very frequently by natives. I assure you, you will learn the language in context, with all the subtle implications. I teach Spanish for different purposes: - For teachers, if they want to take their Spanish to the next level or keep it up to date. - For students who wish to take an exam - For travelling - For people who love Spanish language and want to communicate faster and more fluently.

Hi, My name is Juhee, I am from South Korea and currently studying Hospitality management in a Master course in France. Today, I am looking for students to teach English, especially those who seek the opportunities to have an oral conversation and to practice one's writing skills. Since I use English on daily basis to work with classmates, to give presentations as well as to write a thesis, I could help you with learning useful expressions in spoken English for casual conversations & academic purposes. (For your information: I have succeeded TOEIC exam with a grade 970 thus whoever prepares for the exam, I am ready to help you get a better score) For the study materials, different questions/expressions belonging to various subjects will be given to you. OR if you have your own material to study on, don't hesitate to bring it to discuss it with ! In order to improve your language, it is always effective when you could lead the classes to the direction like you want :-) I can teach students within the various age range even including kids between 7-12 years old. Regarding teaching experiences, I used to teach elementary/secondary school students at communities centers, I had lots of fun when meeting kids. Besides, you & your kids will find me interesting to speak with! I have met many multinational people and become friends by sharing different cultures and experiences in our lives. It's been possible as I have lived in several countries to get to know diverse cultures in the world, such as in Ireland (for 6 months), India (for 3 months), Vietnam (1 month), and in France (3 years). So wherever you are from, I am always interested to listen to you or your backgrounds, or even any adventure/challenge in your life! Then I can't wait for meeting you! Hope to see you as soon as possible in the near future :))

ABOUT ME: I am originally from France, with Tunisian roots. My love of languages had led me to travel extensively and I have been teaching French for over 7 years in a variety of countries and contexts, for all ages and levels. I am currently based in the UK, and while I focus on communicating in French with my students, I am also fluent in English and German and can use these languages for explanations. OUR LESSONS: Not sure where to start? After we chat I will be able to identify your level and we will devise a French plan of action according to what you want and need. I prioritize an interactive, hands-on, and highly tailored approach to tutoring. I plan and conduct my lessons using different methods according to the learning goals, and types of learning preferred by my students. I especially insist on using genuine resources and adapt them when necessary. I mostly focus on a communicative and socio-linguistic approach and always use a range of different types of activities to make classes lively and engaging. I also make sure to bring life and culture from the French-speaking world into our sessions and not just to stick to theory. I am a French native speaker who knows to adapt my pace of speech and vocabulary according to the level of my interlocutor. I have prepared students for French A-Level, IB and GCSE at King`s College School, and focusing on pre-U and A-level for Westminster School for 2014-2018, and Highgate school 2018-2019. As a Fulbright laureate, I taught French in an American college at a beginner and intermediate level 2019-2020. This means I have extensive knowledge of exam boards and syllabi (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, and Cambridge). MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE: I began as a tutor by helping French people with English (GCSE level, but also preparing for interviews, and masters level exams), and teaching a Japanese family to learn French while in Lyon. In London, I continued tutoring a diverse range of people, IRL and online: from GCSE students needing revision to adults wanting to brush up on their French, British retirees and ex-pats looking to interact with their neighbors in France, native French speakers born elsewhere needing help with accuracy and also people taking French exams without having taken the subject at school. What the lessons had in common was adapting my methods to suit individual needs, and building students` confidence especially in regard to speaking French. I have been teaching French online, using the audiovisual elements for individually focused sessions, for a few years and recently made the successful transition to teaching whole sets online during the pandemic.
