As the level of the courses increases over the years, taking advantage of a young student who has experience as a versatile private teacher is often a major asset to perform and then fly to great studies!

First of all, when am I available?
From September 2020, until 2023 if follow-up over several years is desired.

What is my experience in private lessons?
I have been giving private lessons for 5 years now.
Throughout the last 3 years 2017-2020, I followed 2 students of the French Lycée Charles de Gaulle: a student from 5th to 3rd and a student from 2nd to 12th, at a rate of 2 and 3 hours per week respectively. I have pushed them both towards excellence, my students having averaged 20.5 and 18.7 on their patent and baccalaureate respectively. My final year student joined LSE for an excellent Bachelor in General Economics; and I had the opportunity to prepare him for this new stage by preparing him on certain prerequisite subjects of the Bachelor that the French program does not cover.
I thus have a complete knowledge of the scientific programs from the 5th to the terminale, I am aware of the reform of the year 2020/2021, I was recently able to prepare students for the patent and the bac, and I know the systems leading to English universities as well as French preparatory classes.
I also gave private lessons for 2 years in France, with high school students. I was also hired by Centrale Lyon for 1 year to tutor in physics for 1st year students.
With the health crisis, between March and September 2020, I was also able to learn to take regular lessons by Skype while maintaining effective monitoring.

Who am I?
I am in September 2020/2021 in the 2nd year of my PhD at Imperial College London, working in biomechanics on a subject bringing together mathematics, chemistry, mechanical physics, computer science and biology.
Initially, I come from a small provincial high school where I had my bac S in 2013 with the congratulations of the jury. I subsequently made preparations for Henri IV and Louis-Le-Grand in Paris.
I have a double degree since 2019: Centrale Lyon in general engineering and Imperial College London for a master's degree in mechanics - civil engineering - biomechanics, for which I received the award of excellence.
My current PhD takes me until 2023 on the South Kensington campus.

And who am I as a teacher?
- I am now 24 years old and my memories of my 13-17 years are still fresh: I understand most of the feelings of my students, feelings that I have known myself: stress, laziness, discouragement after a bad note, being overloaded with work and subjects ... I have always been on great terms with my students, which gives relaxed, funny and effective lessons, with confident students.
- I'm honest and I like a job well done! I teach to help and get results, and I don't let go until it's done.
- I am kind and very attentive: I keep abreast of the progress and results of my students, I encourage them and answer their questions by messages outside of class if they need it.

What are my strengths?
- I come out of a fresh experience with two students of different ages and characters, allowing me to adapt quickly, to quickly understand the difficulties (or the talent) and to adjust my teaching to each student.
- Thanks to my 7 years of studies, I have a high level in the scientific subjects offered in secondary school, allowing me to give very clear and colorful explanations to help understanding.
- My mother being a French teacher in high school, I have a good understanding of the teachers and how they work.
- I train my students as much as I can to be rigorous in their working method, calculations and results reporting, with a view to good results but also to arrive in higher education with a solid background and working method .

Do not hesitate to contact me,
Looking forward to having once again the opportunity to make my students succeed in a good atmosphere,
Wishing you a Happy New Year!

3rd Year Electronic and Information Engineering student at Imperial College London. I have 3 years' experience tutoring Maths & Physics both in person and online and I am very familiar with GCSE & A-Level specification. My lessons aim to develop understanding of a topic from the ground up rather than just making students memorise lines in a textbook. This is achieved through frequent use of examples and analogies which students can visualise and relate to. On top of this I regularly provide exam practice and feedback so that students become more confident in applying their knowledge and are not intimidated by the pressure of exams. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions and I hope to teach you soon!

In my classes the students will be a part of an interactive session of solving time-sensitive short questions as a brainstorming exercise, proceeding with covering topics from the start of the syllabus, solving questions as we move on and understanding the difficult level that the student is easily able to pass. This will be followed by recognising the topics that the student is finding difficult and then explaining them through short lectures and diagrams, helping the student have a better grasp at the concepts. I will ensure constant feedback after each of my classes to understand the students problems and tailoring my lessons according to that. Moreover the students' progress will be monitored and tracked through short weekly assessments based on past paper questions allowing the student to be comfortable with the exam-style questions and avoid falling for the exam pressure. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions and I hope to teach you soon!

Tutoring for International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths AA HL/SL, Chemistry HL/SL, Physics HL/SL and for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) International Mathematics (0607), Additional Mathematics (0606), Physics (0625) Chemistry (0620).

I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them.

My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share!

I offer flexible scheduling, with availability during the day, early mornings, and late evenings for lessons online or in-person lessons near South Kensington. Please message me before booking so we can find a time that works for both of us!
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me :)

Mathematics and physics are often problematic subjects because the teacher does not have time to sit down with a student to go over point by point the poorly understood parts of the course.

With my engineering training and 5 years of experience as a private tutor, currently a student at Imperial College London, I believe I can help you fill in your gaps and regain confidence in your ability to solve mathematical and physical problems.

I can give lessons in French or English in 1 to 2 hour slots.
I can adapt to all levels up to the license.

Hi,

My name is Andreï, and after two years at the engineering school Centrale Paris and a gap year in quantitative finance, I’ll be starting a Master’s in Mathematics at Imperial College London in September. Alongside my studies, I offer private tutoring in maths, physics, and computer science.

With a strong academic background and a genuine passion for these subjects, I have helped students from secondary school to university over the past three years build both skills and confidence—whether their goal is to strengthen their intuition when it comes to problem solving, improve exam performance, or prepare for competitive entrance tests.

My approach to teaching is both structured and flexible. I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual needs: reviewing fundamental concepts, addressing specific difficulties, and preparing efficiently for assessments or exams. Beyond problem-solving, I aim to provide students with lasting tools—methods of reasoning, strategies for independent learning, and a clearer sense of confidence when approaching new challenges.

I would be delighted to arrange an initial conversation to better understand your goals and how I could help you achieve them. Please feel free to contact me for further information.
Best regards,
Andreï
